the valet key has a green housing and should only fit the door lock and ignition lock, not the boot or glove box.

If the ECM was replaced properly it have no efffect on the engine starting. If the starter is turning the engine over then it's doing all it was designed for. I think I would get it out of that shop. I smell a rat over the internhet.

It is possible that while the refitting of the gear box was done there was a slip or a mistake that could have efffected on the fuel section, the fule pump or the electrics if the ECM does not give a code error.
So it is best to have some patience and go back to check on what was done and if there was any chance that some wires were tampered or wrongly fixed.

There is a manual release lever to release the brakes, but a 2000 mystique has a hand brake the dead battery does not efffect the ebrake you should be able to release the e- brakes, unless you have another problem.

This is a mechanical job and can be worked out according to the tools available at your end with the ground experience. The radiator is normally bolted in the front chassis which fits the front grill and merges with the front side panels. You need to remove the grill if access if to be efffective . so start from the front grill fitting and you will get access to the side fittings of the radiator which can be removed. The connecting hoses on the top and bottom must be carefully removed and hoses removed finally to lift up the radiator.

The air temperature switch that the vehicle's computer uses to calculate for fuel mixture is in the air cleaner housing. I see it having 4 wire on a diesel engine it and the wiring color is different for manual and automatic transmissions, If you tell me if the truck is manual or auto trans and 2WD or 4wd I can tell you the colors of the wires to look for but first see if it accidentally got disconnected. A gasoline engine has a two wire sensor in the intake duct or air filter housing the wires on this two wire sensor are dark blue/dark green and the other wire is dark blue/ light green.
The ambient air temperature switch for temperature control and outside temperature display is located between the drivers headlight area and radiator, the colors of the wires on the sensor are violet/light green and dark blue/dark green again ensure it is plugged in

You will need good tools for a start, Provided you have confirmed that the bearings have failed you will have to see even if the hub had been efffected.IF so you will need to change the full hub assembly. Otherwise after removing the hub the bearings have to be removed and reinstalled using the right tool. So if you are confident to do so go on. Good luck

there should be a slot for each wire on back of ignition play with them till you get it right cant hurt anything

You can pick up a Haynes manual. They have all necessary diagrams in them, including electrical schematics.

I'm not a expert, not even a mechanic, but I just did that same job yesterday. Disconnect the negative cable remove the lower instrument panel. If you have A/C disconnect the vacuum lines from the air door vacuum actuator(it's like a little spaceship)there is a ligt green & a dark green one. Disconnect the wiring. Take out the 2 screws that hold the cover to the top of the housing. Take out the 5 screws that hold the the housing. Take out the 3 screws that hold the motor to the housing and pull out the motor. Loosen the clip on the fan and pull the fan off(make sure you don't break it). Of course, installation is reverse of removal, good luck! Sounds complicated but pretty easy when you do it.
