Where would the fuel tank pressure sensor connection be located on a 2000 suzuki grand vitara? Would I need to drop the the gas tank?

main and sub level, sensors yes complex.
did you scan the PCM first.? 21,22 is it. below
if yo scan it , it tells you which one is bad... for sure.

but it just might be and open sensor.

its just a map/baro sensor used to test EGR.
if the tube is clean, it rarely fails.
it monitors the pressure drop, when the main EGR opens.
of P04xx DTC errrors (got those>)

sounds like a bad fuel pump

There could be a leak in the tank somewhere. It may just be the gas cap not tightly connected. Check the canister for loose connections or the hoses in the area.

labor time 1.4 hr + drain tank
need remove fuel tank, pump in the tank at top 6 bolt attach it

It is located in front of the gas tank on the passenger side of the car.

You may just have bad fuel. Put a bottle fuel system cleaner first.
