I need to locate radiator drain plug in a 2003 gmc savana

I'm not specifically familiar with your vehicle, but generally speaking, the drain is located at the bottom of the radiator, usually disguised as a little "T" shaped fitting and located where it's almost (but not quite) impossible to get at without skinning your knuckles.
There will be a hole in the centre and when you unscrew it (counterclockwise) the coolant will drain out the hole.
Tip:....... open the radiator cap (COLD) and it will drain way faster.

It's on a sticker under the hood at the radiator core support top frame.

I would think the thermostat well fix your over heating problem !

There is a drain at the bottom of the radiator. Be careful, it is plastic, just turn it gently to the left. It wont be on the bottom of radiator, but bottom, of face facing engine. Recommend to remove radiator cap, coolant will flow much faster

Drain plug is located on radiator bottom facing engine, driver side.

Note: Never open drain plug when radiator is hot, wait for it to cool down, remove radiator cap to release pressure then open drain plug.

Trust me they are right where you cant reach them.
On the battery side under the hood
to the right of the radiator, down pretty low.

if you cant find the drain plug you can pull the lower radiator hose to flush it

It should be there. Just look hard under the radiator back-side wall, or directly under the radiator.
