How do i reset the check engine light

find out what codes you are getting , this is your problem ,goto autozone they will find out what codes you have and tell you what needs to be done to fix it when was the last time you tuned it up put plugs in it cap and rotor , start here

Could be a TPMS sensor or a MAP sensor. Check the fuel pressure to why u are at it. Cleanning the throttle body will be helpful also.If its been awhile i would check plug gap. To wide of a gap it wont fire like it should. A fuel filter is a plus also. Might be in the tank?

When is the last time you had done the service, the oil change, the tuning timing.? If this has not been done for the last several months, I recommend that this be done. Yo can take the vehicle to the dealership for an estimated cost before you decide. If this service is done periodically then you must check your fuel, fuel filters,timing and tuning. Helpful? To do a tune up you need a Sun tuner ,,a big box of trix that takes 3 weeks to learn and cost about 7000dollars But if you havent got one then all you can do id Change oil and Filter /Check gear box oil /and diff oil/you can check the plugs and replace (1 at a time)so you dont muddle up the leads.replace Air Filter (most important)Replace fuel filter if done 130,000mls when you can find it.. Top up coolant if needed..washer bottle..check brake fluid Lights and tyres // if i have forgotten any thing you can do that as well ..Have a goodday

You've tried everything but getting the timing checked out. You've done all the other parts of a tune-up but that.

When you changed the spark plugs did you notice #7 was especially dirty or greasy, this could point to a seal being broken or a piston ring that needs replacing.

ok this can be done 2 different ways 1 , with the radio controls , should be in the owners manual , or the easier way , to reset the oil maintinence light , turn the key to the ON position , engine OFF , depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds and it will reset ,

now the tire monitor system , same deal should be in the owners manual , and done with the radio controls , or the easier way , turn key to ON position , engine OFF , cycle the parking lights 3 times within 5 seconds , (turn on - turn off = 1 cycle)

pretty cool huh? but make sure your tires were properly inflated before you reset the tire monitoring system .

Are 2 step to RESET the engine oil on your chevy 02.

The first one ..
Turn the key to RUN position. Engine OFF.
Them FULLY PRESS and REALESE the ACCELERATOR PEDAL
For 3 times between 5 seconds and wait until the Change OIL start blinking and goes OFF.

Now the System is reset.

The second step is.

2-- This procedure need the RADIO, if you have an aftermarket
Radio you don't be able to do.
Turn the ignition switch to ON position,
turn OFF the RADIO,
Press and hold the Tune disp, button for 5 seconds or until
Settings is displayed,
Press the seek ptype or seek pscan up and dow to scroll the main menu,
Scroll until the OIL LIFE appear on display
Press the 1prev or 2next to scroll the sub menu, RESET will be displayed , Press the TUNE disp buttom to reset,
A chime will be heard to verify the new settings and done
Will be displayed for one second.
Press the TUNE DISP to exit from the program,
A chime will be heard to verify the exit.

The oil change light will flash a few times and them go OFF.
If the light is still on repeat the procedure.
