2013 ford focus not getting fuel.recent wreck,worked fine yesterday,had key turned to on this morning to charge phone,won't start now

Yes,there should be one,probably in the trunk, or floorboard kick panel. don-ohio

clean and re tighten the terminals

check the alternator and regulator are charging the battery

also depends on how old the battery is

if no better starter motor /soleniod sticking

INSERT THE KEY AND PULL TO OPEN, THERE MAY BE SOME CLOTH CAUGHT IN THE LOCK LATCH

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

Did you check the fuel pump relay ? The relay gets power from a fuse and also from the PCM relay. The computer grounds the relay to turn it on for 3 seconds when you turn the key on, then only after the computer "sees" RPM or oil pressure.

If the temperature is low, then the engine might have struck up. You need to give heat and then try starting. If you still face the problem, then open the front and check if any wires have been cut off or else call or an mechanic to solve the problem,

Check for spark and fuel. When you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump in the tank for a few seconds till the pressure builds up. When you crank the engine there should be spark at the plugs.

If power is going to the starter then you may need a new one, if no power to starter the anti theft system may be the problem

If engine is turning over when you cycle key to start, but engine won't start and run, then I wouldn't be looking at battery. Try cycling your key from off just to run position, where all dash lights etc come on, but not trying to start. Do that twice to on, then back to off, then turn key all the way to start, and see if it fires right up for you. If it does, change fuel filter if not done recently, and if that doesn't cure it, have fuel pressure tested, it may be low, indicating possible faulty/weak fuel pump. Let me know how it goes.

If you replaced the alternator and you have checked all fushes and wires. you most likly recieved bad alt. I would take it off and have it tested.
