2003 audi a6 3.0 is a crank no start. car has spark but im getting no power to the fuel pump. also no power to the fuse. Any possible causes?

Check for fuel pressure at the injector rail. If no pressure, check pump circuit and relay. If pressure at rail, check injector fuse. It’s also possible the fuel filter is clogged.

This system requires rpm signal before it will power up fuel pump .
THE PCM POWERS UP THE FUEL PUMP FOR TWO OR THREE SECONDS AT KEY ON !

No, It can not do that, Any of the solenoids in the truck will prevent it from cranking. I would suggest checking the fuel pump. its simple to check, Have someone turn the ignition key on until the dash lights light up. (do not crank the engine). When they do that, you need to get your ear as close as possible to the fuel tank. You are listening for a whineing sound. It will whine for about 2 seconds only, this is normal and means the fuel pump is working. If you hear nothing.... the pump has failed.

-Use noid light, disconnect connector from injector (1 at a time)
-Ask some one to help you crank and
Check power at the wire connector . If there is power there then possibly fuel pressure is low.
-If no power at all then most possibly cause is the Crank and cam sensor. It doesn't produce any signal. (It's bad)

post the symptoms. (no start but cranks fine?) what?
the relay only closes cranking. and may not if no spark,
spark is first, after fuse checks.
it (relay) is only a question, if?
1: fuel pressure is zero.
2: pump is silent while cranking.

if you have spark on all cylinders
and the fuel pressure is zero cranking
or the pump has 0v not 12v cranking
then we can show you where the relay is.

some are in the fuse panel.... (im too lazy to look it up now)

First check the fuse area for a blown fuel pump fuse or a fuel pump relay gone bad. Put some fuel in the carb area/air intake and try to start. If it starts momentarily it should be a fuel problem. If there is no momentary start, you are not getting spark. to the plugs. Think I would go with the fuel idea first.

If you open your fuel cap and have someone turn the ignition on you should hear a buzzing noise in the gas tank for two seconds. That's your fuel pump. Also go to the pressure regulator under the hood, access the pressure tester valve, press on the valve and have someone crank the engine for one second. You should get gas coming out.

Most probably its a low fuel pressure related problem.Get the fuel pressure checked.If its low then this is faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter issue.the other possibilities are,-----

A car that cranks over but doesn't start, in many cases will be due to a bad fuel pump, a broken timing belt, an inoperative cam sensor or crank sensor. Also this problems are related to faulty spark plug. Check the spark at spark plugs when you start the car. Do you notice any spark. Actually you should see. If in case there is no spark then it's a spark plug problem. Also the coil pack gives power to spark plug. So check the voltage at coil pack. It will show 12 volt.If there is no voltage noticed at coil pack then its faulty coil pack that has to be replaced.If all the possible options checked out ok then check the car starter. The starter gets power from battery to start the care. If the starter is faulty then it will not let the car to start. Also check and confirm that there is fuel in the car. If it very low fuel then in some cases this causes the problem. Also check and confirm that fuel pump is functioning properly and the fuel filter is not clogged. One of the easiest ways to check for a fuel pump related problem is to spray a little starting fluid into the air intake while trying to start the car. If the car starts momentarily, then there's a good chance the fuel pump is not working or the car is out of gas. You can also listen for the fuel pump's humming sound when the key is first turned on. Also if a inoperative fuel pump is suspected, a good technician will always check to verify there is power and ground being supplied to the pump, to eliminate the possibility of a bad relay or electrical issue. Fuel pressure can be checked with a pressure gage and if there is pressure, pulse can be checked at the fuel injectors in several ways including the most common, with the use of noid lights. well if spark quits fuel usaly will to computer will do this to stop cadilac converter from filling with fuel!and causeing a fire saftey feature!!!!okay disconect battery wait a couple of minutes reconect! turn key on postion do not start or crank!off then on until you hear a GRRRRunt that is your fuel pump that is what you should hear turn your head to the right towards back seet and once you hear it that means pump is good then crank it then spark should quit if the coil packs a r bad then you have your problem if so test for spark also if you have eng light on cut the case hook up obd 2 scan find the fault and fix THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO CHEERS!

check your injectors too. maybe the problem lies there
