I have a 1999 Ford Taurus & when I go from a full stop, I press gas pedal & nothing happens

it could b just the acklator cable that slipped of the throttle body
look under hooh a have someone press on the acc and see if anythingis moving

The spring or wire that connects your pedal to the throttle body may broken or damaged. Check under your hood and look at the throttle body (it's the carburetor looking thing). There should be a steel wire connected to it coming from the back of the engine bay. It should connect on the side where you'll see a few springs. If nothing looks broken there, turn the part of the throttle body connected to the spring and wire. If it revs up when you move it, then the cable could be broken somewhere between there and the gas pedal.

Alternatively, the linkage on the pedal could have been disconnected some how. Check behind and above the gas pedal to see if eveything is connected properly.

check fuel pressure if pressure is low replace fuel filter .check pressure again if still low replace fuel pump

U have tranny issues - better have that checked out before you walk.

If the engine light was not on when the vehicle was scanned nothing would show up you may have something intermittently occuring which can be a hassle to diagnose. If the gas tank is full and it shows to be empty this is usually a faulty fuel level sending unit. If dtc light reoccurs have it checked immediately to determine the cause

check your throttle wiring and if posible spray with carburetor cleaner

go to a shop with evac/fill equopment and they will **** out air and refill system.

Check for codes. Sounds like a bad coil

check throttle cable isn't broken or disconnected.I've had them come off at throttle lever.look under the hood while someone pushes the pedal;car can be off,you should see the cable moving the disc shaped throttle lever.check connection at pedal.

lift the hood and remove one of the tubs try press then if you have water the jets are blocked.
