Your system is probably has a leak somewhere, it has to be diagnosed with a special equipment. You can also buy a can of freon with stop leak fix at any autoshop, but get the one with gage so that you can see the pressure.. if it's low - for sure there is a leak, if too high - there a biger problem that you can't fix yourself.. in this case return the can to the store.. good luck

MAZDA CAPELLA 1997 WITH NON OPENING WINDOWS (URGENT)

Since your window works, first thing I'd try is to have either the other front or the opposite rear window fixed, which will give you some cross ventilation.
That will be 1/3 the cost of having all 3 done.
Sounds like it would be a good thing to talk around to your friends and find an honest mechanic, because replacing your window motor or regulator shouldn't be horribly expensive.
You might be able to find a used part or two to do the job,.
The air conditioning also could be checked by an honest mechanic, and maybe would not be too expensive. Maybe all it need is recharging.
Here where I live, we have to have air conditioning.
I don't recall that your Mazdas have major a/c problems, that means if it is fixed, it should last for several years.
However, big repair garages can charge you an arm and a leg to fix everything.
That's why I recommend you find a mechanic and befriend them.
One more thing.
You say your car is a '97.
An inexpensive older car will soon be needing repairs.
If you buy another car, and it is not expensive, parts will begin to fail on that one too. ;-(
If it were me, I'd stick with the car you have.
Blessings on you and yours.

Possible reason is a failing compressor or electrical problem.

1998 Grand Voyager with a re-built transmission needs front pads and rotors, rear wheel cylinders, right rear wheel bearing, top of strut tower, right outer tie rod end and alignment and compressor for...

My opinion is that if your going to have to pay a repair shop to do all of that, it may be better to start looking around for another vehicle. If you take the time to check around, there are quite a few people getting rid of that second vehicle because of job cut backs etc, that are in pretty good shape. The year doesn't bother me, I just check the condition, and how well it's been maintained, and mileage. I'm currently driving a 99 Caravan, and just bought a 98' that was lady driven, never seen snow, not a spot of rust on it, 4 new tires, new transmission last year and I'm thinking it will need very little if anything for safety, for $1000. I've been keeping my eye on it for 2 years now, as all I see the woman do is wash it, and make the odd short trip to town in it. She drives it to Florida for the winter, and back here to Canada in the summer.Try not to rush if you don't have to, but check all adds in local area, you just may find what you need, cheaper than repairing what you have. Now if you have a friend or neighbor or relative that can do most of that for you at a reduced labor rate, it may be the way to go. Chrysler replacement parts are usually fairly reasonable as far as price goes, and if your van is still in good shape other than that strut tower, it may give you a few more years of service when it's all done.

Air conditioning blowing hot on 2002 buick lesabre ltd

Could be a number of possibilities. However, the most likely is loss of freon. The O-ring seals at a number of line connections tend to leak over time. There are other mechanical and electrical possibilities but you should first have someone check the freon charge with a set of gauges to measure the pressures. It might cost you a bit to have it tested but the pressure reading will tell you a LOT of things. In the long run it will save you money over guess-work.

98 dodge dakota sport , air conditioning troubles

Temporary solution - I found that the pump under the hood gets stuck intermittenly from dirt getting behind the clutch assembly where the belt drives the unit. Blast the back with air then apply Silicone spray (Not WD40) to help keep things running smoother. The wiring connector gets rusted or loose sometimes as well. Also, if the dash gets too hot in the summer, the selector switch contacts don't work right and the damper under the dash gets hung up and wont open or close the air to the vents. I've been fighting this almost 5 years now. It's been in the shop 6 times - NO HELP THERE! Good luck!
