Hey guys,
I'm having problems with my Opel (Vauxhall in the US/UK) Omega radio.
Can anyone here provide me with the 4 digit code to unlock it? I'd be eternally indebted to you :)
The radio's model is CCRT 2008, and the serial of the unit is:
GM0208X1013962
Is that because it can't be decoded? I'm asking here because I don't want to pay the full asking price of the dealer (quite steep!).
If there isn't any way to decode it using the serial number and the model, then can someone with electronics experience do it for me? Would they need Tech 2 to achieve this?Is that because it can't be decoded? I'm asking here because I don't want to pay the full asking price of the dealer (quite steep!).

U might try contacting the manufacturer of the radio but do not get your hopes up.U might try contacting the manufacturer of the radio but do not get your hopes up.
Thanks for the tips! I finally managed to locate the small card with all the codes on it :) It was located in the spare tyre compartment under some rags, so it was not easy to spot on first glance.
I got the car 2 days ago, so I'm still learning my way around it.Thanks for the tips! I finally managed to locate the small card with all the codes on it :) It was located in the spare tyre compartment under some rags, so it was not easy to spot on first glance.

You shouldn't have trouble locating the part you require as Opel/Vauxhall have an excellent spares service and many of the popular clocksprings are available through the aftermarket these days. In the UK we are able to order some Chevrolet spares through the Vauxhall dealership, perhaps some Opel/Vauxhall spares can be obtained via your local Chevy dealer...
or search the internet with nissan+unlock+radio+code
$15 and much less... Read down the list... This time write it on the wall next to your GARAE light switch... kEEPING it in the CAR WILL ONLY INCREASE its PRICE at the flea market ... Know what I mean?
i stole this from old post, i cant find it either with out paying
I have a vauxhall vectra
I got a security code for the radio 7980, but every time I try it it does not work.
I finally got the radio out and the info is on a sticker on top

The dreaded opel 4 cyl inline ,most of my problems with this range of vehicles is caused by the fact that the computer is bolted to the inlet manifold and suffers from overheating which causes all mannor of code faults and often the immobilisor.Right mass air flow is in the pipe from the air filter to the inlet manifold
As a standard, any front wheel drive car uses ATF lubricant or better known as Automatic Transmission Fluid to lubricate it's gearbox, you can recognise it by its colour witch is deep red, an opel/vauxhall corsa/astra 1.7d/1.7di/1.7dti/1.7cdti uses ATF II, not a easy trans to fill, suggest you let a dealer do this service
I'm going to guess and say have the catalytic converter checked. If that's it...it will also be giving you poor performance and mileage.
Also replace the exhaust sensors and check the plugs for condition and gap. Replace the air filter and pcv valve.
