I replaced the EGR Valve ($80 after tax), problem solved, vanruns great now. Now my problem is that I can't get the light to turn off.

You cannot clean them purchase a new one and pull the old one out of the valve cover, and disconnect the hose that runs to it. install the hose on to the new egr with a new worm clamp and push the other end into the valve cover. should take about 10 minutes.

SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan starts idles 3 sec then just dies...

Fuel system..Filter or pump..maybe clogged
Try fuel line cleaner..make sure the tank is 3/4 full.
this may help.

When you did all this work, did you disconnect the battery?
Did you reset the security system and engine immobilizer?
Is the anti-theft light flashing, flashing fast or on steady?

What do these codes mean? P2 p34 p36 and p0406?

code p 0406 refers to exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) valve position sensor A --high input===causes wiring short to positive---EGR valve position sensor---ECM
for the other does you will have to post all of this again and include the make , model year , type of equipment
