Yes, rotor is off as well. Was able to remove the outside bearing, but the rear axle hub will not pull off

Sometimes you have to give them a good wack with a small sledge hammer.spray some pb blaster all around the center of the hub let it soak a few minutes and give it a good solid wack from the back side if you can .

Cannot remove rear half of front hub on 2007 Dodge ram 2500 4X4, 4 mounting bolts already removed, front half oh hub removed

OK I have one of these trucks and those hubs are a pain in the buttt big time. Tried changing an axle joint but couldn't get the hub off. Finally after 2 days gave up and took the truck to the dealer. I watched them take it apart. There is a special tool. Put the four bolts back into the hub from the axle side. They should all be loosened but not out of the hub. Take a deep socket that fits the bolt head. Fill the socket with nuts so that you can just fit the hub bolt head in it too. with the axle on stands and both front wheels in the air, the socket on one of the bolts. ( not sure how to get the socket to stay on, maybe a few wraps of tape around the head of the bolt) start the truck and turn the wheels, lock to lock. Get out move the socket to another bolt on the other side and repeat. when youve done all four bolts this way , take all bolts a few turns ( equal distance) and repeat the process. The hub will be pressed out by the socket pushing against the axle tube. At least that's what they did at the dealership.Good luck. Let me know how it works.

On my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 2WD, I just found

This is a very simple job to do. Raise the front of truck off the ground, block the rear tires. Using pliers and a hammer, remove the grease cap from hub. Remove the cotter key and nut from axle, pull out slowly and remove outer bearing. then remove hub from axle. To remove inner bearing ,prop hub on a board and use a large punch to drive out bearing and seal. Clean out inside the hub and install new bearing and seal. Replace all parts in the reverse as you took them off. Hope this will help you.

I think my front Drivers side wheel bearing is going out on my 2004 dodge ram 1500 4x4. It is an ABS system. What should I do to replace this? I wouldnt mind doing it myself if its the cheaper route.

Remove the wheel, the brake caliper with the mounting bracket and pads all together, the brake rotor, and the axle nut. Make sure the axle is free inside the hub splines by pushing it in a bit. I believe this truck has 3 bolts for the hub/bearing assy. They remove from the inboard side of the knuckle, then the hub/bearing assy comes out. It may be corroded in the knuckle, so some force may be required to get it out. To reassemble, reverse the steps, being careful to torque the axle nut to the proper spec. Also pump the brake pedal before you road test to verify the noise is gone.

Need to remove and replace rear rotor

You have to remove the axle shafts first as it has a full-floating axle, then pull rotor and hub off the axle housing. Unbolt rotors from hub. Check bearings and seals in hubs and the axle snouts where the bearings run before installing. Put new flange gaskets on axle and torque flange bolts to 95 ft-lbs.
