Make a sketch of the belt before removal, helps with refitting. if there is a belt tensioner release it , if auto tension fit a socket and pry bar to the alternator pulley nut and release tension and remove belt, disconnect battery and remove alternator bolts.

How to change the alternator - compressor belt on a 2003 Lexus ES300

NO engine told of 7, and is an engine question wow hard. that.

the service manual covers that.
https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp
did the belt fall off, not told , the story.

all have tensioner that must be retracked
2 kinds, fixed bolt kind
or, the spring loaded kind and to be frank we make sure is kind is not bad first. if there at 19 years old.
called the main front drive belt system. (not cams)
I am not answering for all 7 sorry.
all we do is look at it. see what tensioner is there,
if spring type we retract it with a beaker bar socket drive. per the manual told in services manuals
if not spring type out comes my tension tool and per spec, do that.

I have a 2006 Lexus GS300 and the radio head unit display is faded/discolored so I would like to replace it with 2007/2008 model GS Head unit. Is it possible?

Question translated into written English.
Question edited for full year make model as required.
Question moved to to 2006 Lexus GS300 category

2005, 2006, 2007 are the generation years that remain the same. You could also try cleaning with a light application of acrylic polish.

You shouldn't need to loosen the tensioner itself. To release pressure on the belt tensioner, rotate the belt (or tensioner pulley if the belt is no longer installed) CLOCKWISE. This will release the tension to either remove the old belt or install a new one. Once installed, the belt tensioner will automatically take up the slack.

I am changing the serpentine belt on my 1994 Lexus Gs300 and cannot find the tensioner bolt to apply tension to put the belt back on. Where is it located?

the tensioner is generally spring loaded. check that you have the belt correctly routed. then you may need to attach a socket/rachet to the center bolt of the tensioner to move it enough to slip the belt on. if it moves freely it likely needs to be replaced as well.
