It sounds like the fuel filter could be clogged also other issues to consider i would suggest to hook it up to a OB2 tester you can go to advanced auto or oriellys etc and have them hook it up to try to see if you can get a code up!! sounds like it could also be your cps =cranshaft positioning sensor ,but take in mind when was the last tune up, fuel filter change and filter change as well ? hope this helps!!
If you have replaced it and it is working correctly, you can just erase the code or wait for it to shut off once you have driven it for a few miles. if you erased / reset it and it comes back, there is still a fault.
I wouldn't think the PCM/ECM is the problem ,
hesitation at about 40 mph and 60 mph.. Something in the ignition system is breaking down causing a misfire or maybe TPS - throttle position sensor , these wouldn't cost to much. The dealer should be able to find the problem . An usually lights Flickering could be loose connection , high resistance in the circuit.
Fixing Strange Auto Electrical Problems
The car should still be under warrantee, the dealer should take care of it. In any case, the car needs to be hooked up to a scan tool to see what is setting off the light. I'd advise not driving the car if the brake pedal is hard to press.
