My trunk release on my '97 is on the floor next to driver's seat. I am driving fine at 193,000.

If you can get into all the gears, like reverse and park, without the button, then you don't need it.

Why you replace TCC and A & b solenoids? What was your previous wrong to make this job? What about fault codes there, is any code stored even? Most likely you will have to
get a transmission shop on it as there should be a scanner hooked up to
correctly diagnose your issue.
First try back of the engine slightly toward driver side of car It has a a red
pull loop handle and says CHECK IN PARK ENGINE IDLING VEH LEVEL with
TRANS HOT and USE DEXTRON FLUID ONLY on the steel part of dipstick. You
have a couple of transmissions that could be in there go ahead and check
your fluid and see where is at.
Additionally, check if the speedometer stopped working you may want to start by checking the VSS
(Vehicle Speed Sensor). It is located on the top left of the
transmission. This provides the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) with vehicle speed and runs the
speedo. Without this signal, the PCM can't control shift points, can't
lock the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch), and will disable the cruise control (if you have one).
This sensor failure should illuminate the MIL but it may take a few
drive cycles. That is the first place I would start looking (included wires and harnesses).
Keep us updated.

Could be a CV axle. Could be a lower ball joint also. Neither one of these jobs are difficult to do. Get a manual, buy the tools you need. You will be money ahead.
