SOURCE: How do I change the 3 spark plugs on the back of engine

The upper intake has to be taken off to get to them. Yes it is a pain in the but, not too hard to do, just bothersome to do this to be able to change plugs. Make sure to be careful when loosening the intake as the head is aluminum and you can damage it if you take a gung-ho approach. You will need to replace the gasket but it is only around 12 -15 $ .

SOURCE: No spark, 1988 Toyota Camry 3SFE 4cyl, 5 speed.

there is no crank sensor on this vehicles 2.0L. If you have power to the coil, new coil, cap and rotor try this if not done yet>>>Unplug coil power first....Try pulling off the distributor cap, and make sure the rotor is spinning with the cam...If this fails to spin, inspect the entire distributor assembly. If it passes, Inspect all the power circuit and wiring to the dist assembly, if ok possible ecu. i recommend having a mechanic check it out!! Hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks

I have a 1990 toyota camry that stalled while driving, cranks, but no spark, and the check engine light is no on with ignition in the on position. There is power to the coil.

How far does your knowledge go with ignition system diagnostics? Do you own a test light and a multimeter? You will need to start at the spark plugs and move towards the distributor and to the coil. Unplug the coil wire at the distributor, connect a good plug, ground it to the engine and check for spark. If no, use the test light on the coil and test for voltage and pulse. If both are present then the coil is no good. If the voltage is gone check the fuse. If the pulse is no good. Go back to the distributor and remove the cap. Does the rotor spin while the engine cranks? Please start here and let me know if you need more instructions.

Car started running bad with no power. So put fuel injection cleaner in and car started running better. So drove it about 20 miles and car went dead going about 30mph and would not crank back up, what is...

If this is a 4 cylinder, then its most likely the coil. Take out a spark plug and crank the engine to see if you have a good spark. If you don't have a spark, in order, replace the distributor cap and rotor, and replace the coil. If your ignition wires are old, replace them as well.

If its a 6 cylinder car, there is a separate coil for each cylinder, so your problem is more difficult to diagnose. In that case, if no cylinders are firing it may be the ignition computer or the ignition switch.
