Took off kinda hard to get into traffic. Made a noise as if hitting rev limiter and then did not notice anything until after I already parked and got ready to leave and will not go in reverse. Pushed it out the parking space and then drove home about 15 miles kinda easy.
SOURCE: location of fuse box/panel for 2004 yukon denali xl
There are 2 fuse panels in the Denali.
One is a panel on the drivers side, its on the dash but facing the door.
The ohter is under the dash and above the pedals, this one is much tougher to access.
Your Owner's Manual should tell you where the fuses are that you need to access.
SOURCE: 03 Yukon denali park brake warning wont turn off
hi for info the brakes warning light on dash is also an indication that brake fluid level is low? or there may be a leak resulting in fluid level drop ? also considering age of car you may need to inspect brake pads wear ? if your car has low brake pads wear indicators attached to pads ? or the hand brake switch req's checking to ensure it is being pushed to off position when h/brak is down ? so fluid level low is the obviouse 1st check as fluid will displace from reservoir as pads wear low hence the level indicator on fill cap trips on may i suggest if it is low level b4 you top up? check your b/pads if you have not done so recently? or replaced since new ? hope this helps you locate problem best wishes from the uk

possible brake switch not sending signal to shifter solenoid to allow shifter movement. possible broken shifter knob/relay rod in shifter assembly
SOURCE: gmc yukon has the abs & parking brake light
you have to fix the problem with ur brakes- first check the wiring ,connectors and connection clips to the abs sensors and modulator if looks ok than have truck scanned some auto stores such as auto zone / advanced auto do it for free the code will give u a start point towards fixing ur problem--visual inspection of brakes doesnt always show problem
SOURCE: Heated seats won't stay on in 2004 GMC Yukon Denali
See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they don't work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue

There are different possibilities. You may need a repair or a transmission. I do suggest inspecting the fluid first. Pulling the dip stick can provide helpful information. Is the fluid red and full? Is it dark or smells strong and burned? How old is the fluid and filter? Read the owners manual first but I think your intervals are 30-50K miles. Is the engine light on? Stored engine codes can be very helpful as well. You or the shop will find that the failure is either electrical or mechanical. Good Luck.
