Go to your local library and ask the Librarian to get you on-line to the Automotive Repair Reference Center, and then to the EBSCO database...you will find all of your wiring diagrams there.

SOURCE: 1998 Honda Accord EX V6 2 Door - Radio Error Code on Display

No-one is ever particularly happy to here this, but this is the way it is; we do have to keep in mind that the original idea of codes on radios was to prevent people who steal them from being able to use them.

So, if an audio unit with theft protection is disconnected from electrical power, you must enter a unique code number into the unit or it will not work. This code and the audio unit’s serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code (some people say that they have found the code on a sticker inside the glove compartment, but I wouldn’t count on that). Some newer vehicles allow you to retrieve the audio unit serial number electronically from the radio. Refer to your owner’s manual for the specific procedure (the following usually will work: Turn the radio off. Push the preset 1, preset 6, and power buttons at the same time, then quickly release. The serial number will come up in two sets of numbers.)
Some older vehicles (model year 2003 and older) require a visit to the dealer in order to retrieve the audio unit serial number (or you can remove the unit and get the serial number from the back of the radio). Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.

Here is the URL for the Honda Owner page. If you register (no charge) you are able to get radio codes using the VIN number of your car, the serial number of your radio, and the
Phone Number and Zip Code that you give them when you register.

Hope this helps you with the process.

SOURCE: Automatic Transmission shifting problems.

i had the same thing...It's the transmission. It's REALLY noticeable shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I was able to get my transmission fixed for 900 bux. That wasn't even a replacement so i can imagine how much it would cost to get it replaced. The shifting will get worse. By the end of my "experience" it wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd for about 5 minutes until i drove it around for a bit. THen it would "warm up" to the idea of shifting to 2nd gear.

Malfunction code P1167/P1162 my 98 ho da accord ex VTEC 2.3L stalls out when I come to a stop. Restating is not a problem, but every time I come to a stop it stalls. Idle drops and then stall's.

You may have 2 problems. The trouble codes are for an oxygen sensor fault. You likely have a bad oxygen sensor, but that usually won't cause a car to stall. If you're having issues at idle, look for vacuum leaks or possibly a very dirty throttle body.

2000 accord codep1259

Hi Richard:
There is actually an old service news about this very code. there are two things that could be at fault but you will have to check a few things that are outlined in the article before knowing which parts need replacing... please read carefully below...

MIL with DTC P1259 - Vtec System Malfunction

On 1998 Accord L4s with VTEC, DTC P1259 (VTEC system malfunction) can set at idle or above 4,000 rpm:

If it sets at idle, the problem is with the VTEC pressure switch circuit (switch, connectors, or wiring).
If it sets above 4,000 rpm, the cause is low oil pressure in the VTEC system.

To find and correct the cause of the DTC, do this:
1. Use the PGM Tester to check the vehicle's freeze data or snapshot data to see when the DTC was set.
If it set at idle, go to step 2.
If it set above 4,000 rpm, go to step 4.

2. Disconnect the 2P VTEC pressure switch connector, and jump its two wires.

3. With the ignition switch ON (II), the PGM Tester should show that the VTEC pressure switch is ON.
If the Tester says the switch is ON, the wiring and connectors are OK, so the switch must be bad.
Replace the switch, clear the DTC, and return the vehicle to the customer.
If the switch is OFF, check for an open circuit between the switch and the ECM/PCM or between the switch and ground. After you repair the open circuit, recheck the switch, then clear the DTC, and return the vehicle to the customer.

4. Remove the valve cover, and check for a loose center head bolt on the intake manifold side. A loose bolt can cause a drop in pressure in the VTEC system.

If the bolt isn't loose, go to step 5.
If the bolt is loose, torque it to 22 lb ft (29 Nm), turn it another 1/4 turn, and then turn it another 1/4 turn. If the bolt won't tighten, its threads are probably stripped.

5. Remove the VTEC rocker arms, and inspect them for sticking or missing synchronizer pistons or other valve train problems that could cause an oil leak.

If you find any piston or valve train problems, replace the faulty parts. Then clear the DTC, and return the vehicle to the customer.
If the pistons and the valve train are OK, do the DTC P1259 troubleshooting procedure on pages 6-7 thru 6-9 of the 98-99 Accord S/M.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I will appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

VTEC System Malfunction code P1259 in honda acura car what does thi means

P1259 Immobilizer to PCM Signal Error,, ok, first does the car hic up at around 4000 rpm'? what you have here is possibly 2 things with a honda, and that code just happens to pop up for both,, One, change the oil, and 2, you may need to change the Vtec pressure sensor/screen (solenoid),, its located between the Vtec solenoid and the head,, My guess is that your oil is pretty bad, or you just had an oil change, either way ,, clean that sensor,, it may or may not work, if not, you'll have to replace it
