SOURCE: seat warmers not working 2005 ford f350

well first of all does the button for the heated seats light up? if so then it is not a fuse problem. usually the heater pad itself. disconnect the connector and check with a ohm meter. if the meter reads open the element is shot. as for the 4 wheel drive will have a wheel hop when turning corners this is normal due to front and rear wheel trying to push in different derections. if it happens all the time the gears in the diff might be different from front to back. check to see if a diff overhaul was done if so.

SOURCE: bucket seats with driver 1 and 2 memory and also seat warmer oh and the seat warmer does not work ever since.

Hi I'm not to clued up on 2004 silverado 1500 LT crew cab, obviously you'll check the fuse box & even replace the fuse wouldn't hurt giving it a try. Also try checking the electric motor for the seat. No cables lose or broken? Nothing jamming the seat? Is there any sound at all coming from the area where all the electrics are under the seat? Can you hear a motor straining?Just a few thoughts. Good luck

I just purchased a 2005 mercury sable from a family member but neither of the charging ports work, how should i go about fixing them

There could be a few potential issues that could be causing the charging ports not to work on your 2005 Mercury Sable. Here are a few steps you can take to try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the fuses: The first thing to check would be the fuses related to the charging ports. Your vehicle's owner's manual should have a diagram of the fuse box and a description of which fuses control which systems. If a fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
  2. Check the wiring: If the fuses are in good condition, you should next check the wiring between the charging port and the vehicle's electrical system. Look for any loose or frayed wires, and repair or replace any damaged wiring as needed.
  3. Check the charging port itself: The charging port itself could be the problem. Look for any visible damage or debris blocking the port, and clean it out if necessary. You can also try unplugging and re-plugging any devices that are connected to the port to see if that fixes the issue.
  4. Have a professional inspect the system: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it might be best to have a professional inspect the charging system. A mechanic or an auto electrician should be able to diagnose the problem and repair it for you.

I have a 2000 Mercury cougar and it won't take a scan tool won't connect with the vehicle and it won't start and the needle doesn't bounce when I try to start it on the RPM gauge

There is a fuse for the OBD port that might have blown. Not sure which one it is. Some vehicle features share fuses so have you lost any other functions?
This will sound silly but test your power seats. Some websites suggest the OBD port shares that fuse. If the seats doesn't work the fuse has blown.
The fuse is in the fuse panel inside the vehicle, behind a panel at knee height when sat in the driver's seat. The power seats are on Fuse F28. Check this website.

Passenger side power seat doesn't work on my 2010 GMC Acadia SLT

First, find the fuse and/or the relay that controls the circuit, and verify the fuse and/or the relay is good.
Although you may find it nearly impossible to do, unhook the wire to the seat motor at the coupling underneath the seat.
It may be underneath the carpet.
Test the wire plug, with the ignition key on and the seat electric seat position lever/button pushed, and see if there is electricity to the seat.
If so, you may need a new motor.
If not, test the switch to see if electricity is getting to the switch.
If so, you may need a switch.
If not, a GMC or a Chevrolet dealer may be in your future.
God bless your efforts.

My DVD player and navigation won't work. I put the desk in the correct ports and the screen says DVD read error. What a blown fuse cause this not to work. 2007 GMC Acadia.

Most likely something is wrong with your DVD/NAV unit. It shouldn't be a blown fuse as the screen and unit would not power up if the fuse was blown.

Hope I helped,

Key is stuck in the ignition of our 07 GMC Acadia. The blinkers are not working at the rear of the vehicle, windows will not work. All of this happened at once.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. My blinkers are not working, windows will not roll down, automatic seats wil not move, and my key is stuck in the ignition. The battery was almost dead so my husband changed it; however, the problem still exists. What was the solution with your car? Thanks:)

1999 a6 steering wheel melting...!

On the extreme left of the dashboard where the door seems to make contact with the dash, there is a "D" shaped panel that can be pried off by sticking a very thin screwdriver or similiar object in the notch. Once the panel is off you will see a cluster of fuses from 5 to 30 amps. On the panel you removed you will see a label indicating which fuse operates which electrical component and the size of the fuse. The fuse that operates the heated steering wheel warmer should be # 27. You may find that the fuse is not blown but for some reason the warmer is not working. For safety you can still remove the fuse. I think in the Avant this fuse also operates the rear windshield wiper.
