I would try charging the ac system with some freon, and see if that is the problem, the ac compressor will not come on unless the ac has freon, and enough to turn it on,disconnect the negative battery terminal for 25 seconds before doing this to reset the ac system.
You may have a leak in the rear air bags or the compressor for the air bags is not working, listen when you turn on the key to see if you can hear the compressor run ,if you do then likely the bags,if not then likely the compressor.
If your just talking about the fan, the fan is the blower motor. Behind your glove-box is a black plastic box that houses the evaporator(which the blower blows on to give you cold air, the heater-core ( which the blower blows on to give you heat). Your car has both components, the compressor is mounted in front of your car's engine and the fan, you know. Most likely you won't be able to handle repairing the a/c system. You can buy 1lb. cans to charge your a/c but repairing it requires special tools, gauges, temp. readings, containment systems, and so on. But if there is something specific that you want to attempt then ask and 'll try to help.
Hi,check if the compressor clutch is engaging,if not check the conection at the compressor if ok check, fuse ,or relay ,if those are fine and the commpressor is engaging, check freon presure ,may be too high or low, if this is the case ,correct the problem and disconect the negative cable from the battery for a minute to reprogram the sistem..C1
A/C systems are hard to diagnose without having access to the vehicle. One of the most common problems is undercharge (Not enough freon in the system) indicating a leak somewhere in the system. Other causes could be a burnt A/C compressor clutch fuse, defective compressor clutch, defective compressor/belt, defective High/Low pressure switches in the system, defective evaporator icing switch, defective wiring... Basically, you're better off getting the system diagnosed by a good A/C knowledgeable mechanic...
