2003 chev suburban starts & runs but the light in the dash that shows the lock & the car remains on. I recently changed the ignition switch, could it just need reprogramming?

If you just have a light on the dash on go to autozone and they will extract the codes and tell you what's wrong before spending money where you don't have to!

I have a 2001 chev s10 it has the service engine soon light and the scanner does not read it.how can i turn it off.

Try this... turn ignition key to "ON" setting without starting engine.
Pump the accelerator pedal three times rapidly. The light should go off.
I have used this on my Chev and GM vehicles after doing an oil change myself and it always works.

98 chev blazer wont start or make any noises...

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.

Need to re-program 2000 Chev.C3500 key fob need help

1. Close all doors
2. Insert key into ignition
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's door panel, continue to hold down
until instructed to release in step 9.

4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in a fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.)
6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.)
8. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
9. Release the power UNLOCK button on the door panel. The vehicle should respond by
door locks locking and unlocking automatically. (If locks do not cycle after you let go,
not before you let go of the unlock button, then the vehicle has not entered programming
mode and you must start procedure over. Remove key from ignition, open drivers door
and return to step 1 ). If the locks do cycle automatically then proceed to step 10.

10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote until the doors lock and
unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds.

11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional remote. (Including any existing remotes).
12. Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit the programming mode.
13. Test remote(s).

Change oil light.

Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. with the engine NOT running. With the ignition in the "ON" position press the gas pedal down to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. The light should flash twice. If it doesn't you need to try resetting it again.
