2004 Lincoln Town Car center console lid has come off, no broken parts. Can it be reinstalled, and if so, how?

Good luck on the Limo part. Ford didnot build the limo part and there a numerous manufacturers that did. I doubt they will be able to assist you with a car that old. Find the build tagfor the builder and contact them if they are still around.

99% of the time this is due to a defective gas gauge sending unit, this is located in the gas tank.

The code should be on a white sticker located on the truck hinge. Mine is on the right hinge.
