Not much information here to get an answer
on an engine there can be more than 5 pulleys
The main pulley that is ;likely to fail is the harmonic balancer located on the crankshaft and has a rubber insert in it
so if it is that pulley it is at the bottom of the engine , that will be it

Serpentine belt diagrams

It is not usually to difficult to figure out. If the the pulley is smooth then the back of the belt runs on it. If the pulley has grooves then the grooved side of the belt runs on it.
As far as I know, the belt will only fit right when you have the correct routing.
It's pretty easy to figure out how to move the tensioner. You may have to use a wrench to move it or you might be able to do it by hand.

The Serpentine belt broke on my 2006 Saturn Ion and am trying to replace but cant find the belt diagram?

You don't need a belt diagram. Just thread the belt with the back 'smooth' part to the smooth pulleys, and the 'grooved' part of the belt to the grooved pulleys until the last pulley you have is the tensioner pulley that is turned using a breaker bar in most cases.

Timing belt broke. Is this an interferance engine?

your in luck this is a freewheeling engine and should have no engine trouble after the new belt goes on.looking at the belt side the cam pulley marks line up at the bottom towards the right and the crank towards up to the right just look for the marks on the pulleys and block.Good luck let me know how it went.

Baught belt - need to know how to chane it

YOU HAVE WHATS CALLED A TENSIONER PULLEY IN FRONT OF ENGINE , ONE OF TWO PULLEYS THAT ARE SLICK (NO GROOVES). THE TENSIONER PULLEY IS WHAT YOUR AFTER. IT WILL BE ATTACHED TO A SLOTTED BRACKET WITH A BOLT HEAD DIRECTLY BEHIND IT.(LOOKING AT ENGINE FROM FRONT OF VEHICLE ITS USUALLY ON YOUR FAR RIGHT!) FIRST UNLOOSEN BOLT ON FRONT OF PULLEY ABOUT FIVE TURNS , THEN MOVE TO BOLT ON TOP BEHIND PULLEY , AND START UNLOOSENING IT TILL PROPER TENSION IS RELEASED TO SLIDE BELT OVER ALL PULLEYS(USE BELT DIAGRAM UNDER HOOD FOR PROPER INSTALLATION. ONCE BELT IS ON REVERSE STEPS 1 AND 2. TIGHTEN TOP BOLT BEHIND TENSION PULLEY TILL BELT HAS ABOUT A QUARTER INCH PLAY IN IT UP AND DOWN (DON'T OVER TIGHTEN).THEN TIGHTEN FRONT PULLEY BOLT TILL VERY SNUG.YOUR DONE! BELT MAY NEED RE-TIGHTENED AFTER DRIVING A FEW DAYS , BUT YOUR AN EXPERT NOW AND THAT WON'T BE A PROBLEM. HOPE THIS HELPED!

Changing idler pulley

you can change it by releasing tension on the pulley arm(as if changing the belt) and then unsecuring the idler arm pulley by means of a large bolt in the center of the pulley, usually reverse threaded. Pulleys cost about 10 bucks, but good bearings don't come cheap.
