If you mean what we call the "Welch" plugs, the cup-shaped plugs about 34mm across that go in engine block cooling gallery, they are both sides of the block on that engine, 3 or 4 per side...I have replaced the ones on intake manifold side, which is the harder ones to get to..

SOURCE: fuel pump on Daewoo Lanos 1.3

Hi

If my memory serves me right the Lanos has an immersed pump, and therefor you need to be looking either under the rear seats or in the luggage compartment for a round metal or plastic cover which when removed will uncover the top of the pump and fuel sender unit.

It is probably held in place by a large plastic or metal ring which either has to be unscrewed or just turned slightly to disengage the securing lugs.

PLEASE DISCONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL BEFORE MESSING WITH THE PUMP OR YOU MAY HAVE AN EARLY FIREWORKS DISPLAY!!!

Just as a matter of interest, I assume when you say FLUIDS you actually mean FLOODS, in which case, the problem isn't the pump.

If the car doesn't start, or struggles to do so, and there is a smell of fuel or the plugs are getting wet, then the problem is more likely to be a lack of spark than anything else.

There are other scenarios, such as a faulty coolant sensor (cold engine), a faulty O2 sensor (hot engine), a faulty throttle position sensor (hot or cold engine), and a few others I could mention.

If you require any further help, just click ASK ME under my strange white round faced picture (which my MRS reckons looks just like me!!) and I shall be more than happy to assist you further.

Regards

Geordie

Hi I have 1998 Daewoo Lanos Hatch back I am trying to located the spot where I can put a baby bolt in ? I cannot find it ! Thanks Tanya from Brisbane

In the 1999 Lanos Hatch, there is no bolt. There is a link where you can attach the standard clip. It's located in the rear centre of the luggage space. feed it over the back seat, in between the seat & the folding cover & clip in accordingly. You may need to buy an extension to reach it. Hoping this helps.

Where is the heater control valve located in a daewoo lanos 1999

It is behind the dash, behind the climate control console, located on the heater core.

Download the service document below. The file is a compressed folder, unzip and open the HTML files containing disassembly procedure.

My front washers will not work on my 1999 lanos,

More than likely the pump. Check the fuse first. To replace the pump, you remove the washer tank, disconnect the wires, pull out the old pump, and push in a new one, and re-attach the wires. ( plug in)
