Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 99 regal gs supercharged

should be on the fuel rail, take the plastic engine cover off and you should see the injector rails on either side of the supercharger, got to be real close to the line towards the firewall

What would be the problem if my 1998 buick regal supercharge starts but dies

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.Check your fuel pressure it should be 48-55 psi with the key on and engine off.

Where is the fuel tank pressure sensor located in a 1998 Buick Regal Supercharged?

Hi,

I believe that I can help you.

Go to your throttle body.
  • A large diameter fuel rail is attached to the top of the intake manifold and supplies fuel to all of the injectors.
  • A fuel pressure cap is located on the rail for quick pressure checks,
  • The electric fuel pump is attached to the fuel sender assembly in the fuel tank. It pumps fuel constantly from the tank, through the fuel rail on to the engine and back to the tank.
  • The fuel pressure regulator that is mounted on the fuel rail maintains pressure across the injectors under all operating conditions.
Unfortunately, my scanner is inoperative and I cannot provide you with a diagram

My heater is not blowing in my 2000 buick regal what needs to be need and how much will it cost

you probably need a blower motor resistor. its located in the heater core case under the hood. it may only be available with a new blower motor.

Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

Supercharged 3.8

Could be a plugged catalytic converter or a plugged fuel filter, run an exhaust back pressure test, any muffler shop will do this, most times for free, the other thing to do is have the fuel pressure tested under a load, also clean the MAF sensor, a little dirt on the sensor wire wrecks havoc, You didn't leave anything in the intake runners did you? have seen seasoned technicians do this more than once.

I have a 1998 buick regal it will start but won't stay running for longer than 2secs

Greetings,

If your 1998 Buick Regal is the GS model (supercharged), there is a resistor that is either switched into the circuit to the fuel pump or it is bypassed. The idea is to not put as much voltage to the fuel pump under idle or low load conditions. However, under high power conditions, such as when you punch it or drive up a steep hill - which usually also brings in the supercharging, then the circuit bypasses the resistor to give the fuel pump more voltage and, hence, more fuel pumping capacity to meet the higher fuel demand.

The resistor is located in a bad spot where it can pick up lots of road debris, slush, dirt, etc. Thus, it can fail. When that happens, you can start the car but then the resistor circuit is activated and, because the resistor has failed, no voltage gets to the fuel pump and it shuts off, then the car shuts off. If you immediately hold the accelerator down after starting the car (but not to overspeed the engine), the engine will keep running but at a very high RPM.

The fix is to replace the resistor, or bypass it altogether. The resistor is located on the inner front tire wheel fender on the passenger side. If I remember correctly, you get to it under the car, but you may also have to access it by opening the hood and reaching down from the top. It was 10 years ago when I fixed mine and I do not remember. This fixed the problem for me. I hope it works well for you. If you have other questions, you can reach me at [email protected].
