Turn on the tail lights and using a test light check to find the existing power wire.
Find the wire that goes to on pin for the bulb and connect together . Next check another wire with some one applying the brakes . find another wire that goes to another pin for the bulb and connect that up . using a multimeter check that the last wire is connected to the bulb socket as an earth. and connect that up to the last wire . If you have a dull stop light then reverse the two power wires
some markets (Europe) have one, balanced up on the other side by one fog guard light(so it dont look like brake lights in fog)some markets have two,but you can see the one working so check by turning on the rear fog guard light, if you have one then you only have one reversing light....
its easy, on top of box you can see the plug, normally a two pin i think your switch or plug is white, you can unplug and stick a piece of wire across terminals, then check if lights are on, if not its not the switch, do this and tell me how u got on
