SOURCE: Where is the ignition coil pack located on 2002

The ignition power pack and (aka ignition coil) is located on the 2004 Mazda MPV at the end of each spark plug wire on top of the spark plug. The front ones are easy to replace and all 3 can be done in about 30 min. The back ones are another issue. I had to take off the intake manifold on the top of the engine to get to them. This was about a 5 hour job. The installation of the new unit is pretty simple once you gain access to them. you simply disconnect a clip on wire and take out one screw and reverse the process to put in the new ones. Factory units run about $80 each. You can get them at other locations in after markets for as low as $55. Good Luck.

Im looking for a wiring diagram for the coils on a 2003 Mazda Tribute V6 3.0

im-looking-wiring-diagram-coils-2003-pzsqeyf5lc24031ktsiebdlh-5-1.jpg

I hope this helps. If you have a misfire, cylinders 1, 2, and 3 are on the back of the engine and 4, 5, 6 are on the front of the engine. Replacing the coil usually fixes the problem. Sometimes it does not and usually then you will find a bad terminal at the PCM connector, but its pretty rare.
