SOURCE: Is it ok to put a 15 amp fuse on a 10 amp starter fuse for a 2004 grand am

You should never increase the size of the fuse in anything because you can potentially cause a fire. Are you sure the original fuse was 10 amps? It sounds like if it is for a starter the fuse size should be substantially larger. Check the fuse panel just to make sure that the original was only 10 amps

My dash light and runing lights fuse keeps blowing when I take off in my 93 grand marquee

Acquire a schematic of that circuit so you can trace the wires for a pinched wire, each time you take off something is flexing and probably pinching a power wire shorting to ground when the fuse blows.

Put clucthn rear main seal in keeps blowing 30 amp fuse on ign. ?

Sounds like you might have pinched a wire somewhere, or that your wires on your starter are either not tight, or possible the smaller wires got switched around.

My 2003 gmc savana 3500 has a problem on starting. i change the battery and still had the same problem. so i decided to change the starter but stil no crank at all. before i change the starter i just had...

My guess is that you have the wires on your starter improperly connected, and they shorted out, and caused the starter to crank the engine. You have to be very careful when removing the wires. Make sure they are pointing exactly the same way as they were origionally when you re-install them. It is very possible , now, that you may have burnt the fusable link in your battery cable, and you'll have to replace it.

Tail lamp fuse blows

the wire is obviously pinched. Try removing both tail lamps and check that the wiring did not fold and pinch when lamp installed. If recent bulb change, the wrong bulb could do it. And check the filament of the bulb for breakage and falling against post. Second most likely area of pinch is at sill plate @ door opening.

My 1996 honda accord was in a front end accident about 3 months ago. I had problems starting it so my dad removed the SRS fuse and it ran. Now it is having the same problem without the SRS fuse installed....

the fuel pump positive wire must have been cut in the accident and is shorted to sheet metal in the wire harness, look around the area's of damage for a damaged wirng harness.

1989 honda accord headlight fuse blows as soon as replaced

you more than likely have a shorted wire in the headlight harness... you will have to check the wiring from the headlight bulbs to see if it has been pinched up against a sharp metal edge causing a grounded wire, or maybe the harness was crushed by an improper headlight installation.

Infiniti I 30 will not start

I am assuming the fuse was not an issue before replacing the starter. You probably pinched a wire with the starter when you installed it. Take the starter back out and inspect the wiring harness, also see if the fuse blows when the starter is removed.

Woah! Did you buy the van new? I ask this to see if you had a remote starter installed. Chrysler products are notorius for electrial problems, but it could be a remote starter wired improperly. Even if you didn't use the remote starter, if wired improperly, or a wire was shorting out somewhere, it could be responsible for your haunted van behavior. countrycurt0
