SOURCE: power antenna. 1986 olds delta 88

I would recommend disconnecting it at the back of the radio if possible. I opened my wheelwell and found that the power antenna is hardwired, not a connector. I am now considering replacing it with a standard antenna to save money.

There are two different ignition systems for that year, depending on if it is a VIN "C" or VIN "3". Here is the firing order diagrams for both systems.

Need to see diagram for 88 jeep Cherokee Laredo straight 6 for vacuum line for transmission

in the USA? 4.0L engine.
TRANSMISSION VAC>.
So that be automatic.
and some have a vacuum modulator.
some dont.
if it does, its just a vacuum line from the modulator to the plenum.
the modulator uses hard vacuum to sense engine load, to delay shifting/

some EPA hood stickers fail to show this hose.
because its a trans hose and not related to smog.
only this is covered in the FSM.
surely you can find the empty nipple in the plenum
but is this and engine swap, and missing this?

I owned 3 1988 2 JX and 1 Comanche.

id find a vaccum line under full vacuum under idle. 20inches is typcal. (cant find real nipple?)
then add TEE fitting to this line and to trans.
end story.

there are 2 kinds of vacuum./
vsv solenoid switched, (like that on EGR)
direct plenum vacuum (bingo!)
and ported vacuum, weak or no vacuum at all at idle.

easy huh?, just use the hard vacuum line,, or make one.

1988 oldsmobile delta 88 won't drive forward

This is probably the transmission. Check the transmission fluid level to make sure it is at the appropriate level. If not add transmission fluid to reach the appropriate level. If this does not work then the gears may be burnt out in the transmission.

Power antenna on my oldsmobile 88 will not shut off and the antenna is up it even runs without the ignition on

Fault is within the power antenna unit. Needs replacement. If you dont mind the mast being up, it can be disconnected , in order to stop the motor running. Car washes will damage the mast in the event it stays up. Hope this helps.

Need a diagram for the transmission linkage 1977 Delta 88

If your pan is dented or crushed your selector paw in the trans has nowhere to go, this is super easy to fix - dont try to fix the pan, you can get a new one for cheap - or a used one if the salvage yard has not crushed everything with that trans, go to the parts store and get a new one maybe $20-30, it is very straight forward - make sure you get a new gasket ((or)) what I do is use permatex rtv black and put a nice even bead around the pan - smooth it out with your finger to about 1/16" thick and let it set up for about 1/2 an hour or till a little tacky put all your bolts in finger tight and retorque aroun the pan every other bolt until they are all tight (check torque specs and definatly use a torque wrench) and might as well change the filter since you are there (very easy) use hurst hot shift fluid or B&M trick shift for replacement fluid
