How do I unhook the traction control on my 2006 Malibu

SOURCE: replaced abs traction control sensor on 2006 pontiac torrant when i brake fill's like traction control kick's in right before i come to a complete stop make's a grinding sound or some sort

look on the front axles for the ring with teeth look between the teeth for cracks rust forms behind the ring and the rust expands and cracks the ring the crack then sends the wrong speed signal to the brake module

NEED SCAN DATA TO BE SURE BUT YES THE TPS IS PROB TOAST!! TRACTION CONTROL LITE MAY BE EFFECTED BY THE FAULTY TPS LET ME KNOW GET A SCAN TOOL!

SOURCE: traction control won't disengage.

You can Hold down the TC button on the center console until you see the stability system off... push again to re-engage, I had some bald tires last winter so mine went on constantly

Chevrolet malibu ss 2006 , power reduce , idle at 1500 rpm ( no good ) and check engine and traction control light open , whats my probleme!

I HAVE SEEN THAT PROBLEM BEFORE A FAULTY TPS SENSOR A FAULTY TPS SENSOR WILL CAUSE PROBLEM YOU HAVING.HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED FIRST.

check and see if the traction control light, abs light are on the dash. those things can put your car in a reduction mode, because the computer thinks you are on a skid

i think it stands for traction control. most cars with that say ETC which stands for electronic traction control. if you have a manual for the car it should say what it is.
