SOURCE: rear brake lights will not go out
look under under dash board behind and near top of break pedal shaft there is a brake switch, might be stuck in the in position.
SOURCE: turn signals dont work brake lights dont work
You didn't mention your rear brake lights. If they don't work either then you probably have a bad light control module (LCM). This is a common problem with big Fords. You can buy a replacement part ($250) or have yours rebuilt (www.autoecu.com). The module is located under the dash to the right of the steering column and is fairly easy to replace.
Do the turn signals work? If not it may be the turn signal switch. The aftermarket parts are cheaper than a Ford factory part; check the guarantee before deciding.
Worse case scenario? You need both parts.

get yourself a cheap multimeter from a store like radio shack etc. with someone pressing the brake check at the socket to see if you have any power. remember it is DC volts not AC.. if you dont have any power check the grounds, there are a few, under the truck, and under the hood by the engine,if that doesn't work, you can try popping the rear covers off at the back and you might have loose wires, give a light tug on the wires and see if any pull away from the body.... look close at the bulb plug, you can also have a loose wire there or a broken ground tab... hopfully this can help you... if you have any more of a problem let me know...
