I have a 1999 Honda accord v6 when it's in park

Hi Mike, First thing to do is check that the throttle cable and the kick down cable are not being fouled. If the vehicle is manual obviously it wont have the kick down. The second course of action is to have a diagnostic scan carried out. Third step is the inspection of the throttle body and the throttle position sensor. If they are all good and adjusted correctly there will be no code. Next check for air leaking into the manifold from cracked, loose or damaged vacuum hoses. Lastly check the intake manifolds for leakage of air. To do this last, pour water along the joints where the manifold is fitted to the head and observe any bubbles. If there are bubbles the you will need to replace the gasket. Regards John

Location idle air control 94 honda

Hi there:
The IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is mounted to the intake manifold that has two small coolant hoses attached to it. This valve is on the back of the intake near the throttle body.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If necessary, remove the throttle body for access.
  3. The sensor may be removed by unscrewing the retaining bolts.
  4. Reinstall in the reverse order of removal. Make certain the sensor is correctly mated with the throttle body shaft.

1992 Honda Accord wont start when cold out Fires but wont stay running

this could possibly be an iac or idle air control valve issue. the iac valve controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttle body in order to maintain proper idle, and is mounted on or very near the throttle body on the intake manifold. check the connector to ensure it's tight and the connections are clean, not corroded. i'd recommend replacing the iac valve.

Crank and start but wont stay on

bad ignition, air flow sensor that keeps leaning out the mix and it stalls, bad iac idle control motor, start with a good tune up.cap rotor, wires plugs air filter and clean the throttle body.some honda cars have bad egr valves and the intake manifold has to come apart because it is plugged up inside with carbon.

Timing and idleling issue

well is the idle air control bad? do you have enough coolant? as this vehicle idle is coolant based as well as throttle body positioning sensor.but you may have a nice vacuum leak too when you replaced you head you may have left some gasket material in between the intake manifold or air plenum causing an incorrect sealing/ leak, and also valve timing needs to be checked may need to relap/regap the best bet is to follow your repair manuals troubleshooting section and the process of elimination good luck!

High throttling problem

You either have a vacuum leak at the intake manifold or the idle speed control stepper motor is defective.
