Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position for at least three seconds, but no longer than 15 seconds. Then, Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the first key.
step 2. Insert the second valid key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, a chime will sound. In addition, the Vehicle Security Light will begin to flash. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the second key.
step 3. Insert the new key into the ignition switch. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position.within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound. In addition, the Vehicle Security Light will stop flashing. To indicate that programming is complete, the Vehicle Security Light will turn on again for seconds and then turn off.
The new key is now programmed.
The Remote keyless Entry transmitter will also be programmed.
Repeat this procedure to program up to eight keys.

no. you should press and hold 3 buttons for 10 seconds. otherwise it fails

Try this... turn the key on (just before the start position) for 10 min then
off for 5 SECONDS then back on for 10 mins then off for 5 seconds then on for 10 mins then off for 5 secs. I just went thru this with my daughters car. By doing this you reset the computer (and the alarm). If this does not work then I'm sorry.

also if u take battery off for 10 mins, hook battery back up again, turn car on, hold in break paddle for 35 seconds, then still holding in break paddle hold in handbrake button for 10 seconds, release all and start car up, press break button a few times, turn car off again take out key, lock and open car then press break button again and now all should b back to normal

turn the key to the "acc" position. you will notice the theft light flashing. leave the key in this position for exactly 10 minutes. the light should stop flashing. turn the key back to the off position and then start the car as you normally would. Works every time!

try this: turn key on, crank starter for 1 second, leave key on for 10 minutes. after 10 min. shut key off and repeat 3 times. (on second try, crank a sec. or so longer, the reprogram may take off right away. if not, repeat make sure battery is strong, key could be on for 1/2 hr. sometimes engaging emergency brake before key is turned on prevent daytime running lites to come on to save battery power (if equipped). been through it, thought i'd mention it
