Buy yourself a Service manual, and go step by step. Take your time, and make sure you never trust the jack, always put the car on a stand.

Are you check and confirm that are getting a spark to the plugs? Is your fuel pump working fine? Are you check fuel pressure? Check the presure and verified that the regulator diaphram may be busted
The presure with key on it should be 53 to 59psi, it should hold 38 to 54psi after you turn the key off for 10 minuts at an idle it should have 43 to 56psi, the mininum psi is the least you should have.

Then, if you have a spark, it is in time and are getting fuel. It has to start. To make sure that you are getting fuel... spray some starting fluid into the Throttle Body, see if it will start for a little wile.

If yet no start, check the resistence of the injectors. I just had a problem with mine. It should read 12.5- 16 ohms. If they are 12 and under, they are on there way out. Then check all your wiring to those injectors. Do a condinuity check on it. It could be a broken or shorted out wire. I believe all the wiring is interconnected in a series circuit per odd and even side of the engine.

Keep in mind that... if the resistance is early 12.5 ohms means that the life on the injectors is winding down. Also the injectors must be within 10 % of the highest ohm. If you have 80k + miles on them they should be considered a major tune up as they will cause problems in the future.

I would check the wiring and the crank position sensor as well.

Why does my car smell like gasoline then and also having it smell like gasoline too?

The gasoline tank is leaking and needs to be replaced. Or the fuel lines need to be replaced. . If you can smell gas or spot a drip or a leak underneath your car check to see if you can to see if there is any gasoline that is leaking or dripping down on the ground That is a sign that your gasoline leak is somewhere higher up in the engine like a leaking fuel injector or bad engine seals and the fuel injector and the engine seals need to be replaced. You should take your car to a mechanic to have it be looked at and see what the problem is and if anything needs to be replaced.

How many fuel injectors does my 1996 chevy cavalier have?

If your car uses 4 spark plugs will tell you it needs also 4 fuel injectors because the gasoline has to go into each hole where the spark plugs are at inside the piston chambers.

Had no spark. Replaced ignition mod, 2 coil packs, and computer. I now have fire; problem is engine will not run, the fuel injector sprays fuel (too much i think). When i unplug the injector the engine...

Check for any wiring pinch which might have occurred when the injector was replaced. The injector is driven directly by the computer, so it seems to point at the new computer as being faulty. (pulse signal is always 'on')

Tuned up a 1993 chevy cavalier has spark won't start

Spray aerosol carb cleaner into the throttle body while an assistant tries to start the engine. If it runs for a few seconds then quits, you are not getting fuel into the engine. Check the fuses. You might have blown the fuse for the fuel injectors (possible if you removed any of the injector harnesses) or the fuel pump relay.
