Driver Information Center (DIC)
The driver information center (DIC) consists of a 20 character vacuum fluorescent display. The display conveys to the driver information concerning various vehicle systems. The DIC is part of the heater and air conditioning (A/C) control. The DIC communicates with the instrument cluster via the universal asynchronous receiving/transmitting (UART) B serial data line. The DIC messages are accompanied by a chime within the instrument cluster. The DIC displays the following warnings and information:
• Air bag warning
• Battery voltage information
• Charge system warning
• Coolant level warning
• Coolant temperature warning and information
• Date information
• Door ajar information
• Fuel level information and warning
• Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) overheated and low refrigerant warning
• Low brake fluid warning
• Low washer fluid warning
• Oil level warning
• Oil life information and warning
• Oil pressure information and warning
• Park brake on warning
• PASS-Key® II warning information
• Transaxle fluid life information and warning
• Trip computer information
• Turn signal on
Check your engine oil using the oil dipstick located on the engine - you need to add oil to the fill line as shown on the dipstick. You should have the oil replaced regularly (every 3-6 months) and keep your eye on the level if the engine is leaking oil underneath or burning a lot of it.

Try pumping the brakes 3 or 4 times with the truck running in 'park'.
SOURCE: removing the alternator from a 1995 oldsmobile aurora
i found it best to remove radiator first before trying to tackle the alternator... once that is removed then you can easily get to it to unloosen bolt and swap
SOURCE: I have a 2001 Aurora 3.5L with excessive oil
Sounds like your oil pump pressure relief valve is stuck ?
SOURCE: oldsmobile aurora where is the oil sending unit
It should be on the left side of the engine(front of car) wiring runs under and around oil pan maybe wires are torn or pulled out of connector.oil sending unit is usually right in the same area of oil filter.

The Aurora is a low pressure oil system. The only solution available at this time is to increase the oil weight. I went o straight 30W to solve the idle alarm issue. Some use 20W oil and that works too.
With 20W you will be at 80 to 90psi cold then drop to 20-30psi hot.
I first replaced the oil pressure gauge and it was worse. I put the original back in and it was better. Then went to 30W and all is fine.
Running it that way for a few years now.
