SOURCE: 1988 Dodge Dakota brake line size question

they should be 3/16" but if you want to be sure, take a quarter inch wrench and put the open end over the line if it is sloppy on the line it is 3/16" , if it fits nicely, it is 1/4" . that is the only two sizes they could of used.

SOURCE: I am trying to change

Should be one line in from reservior and one out to brakes. The one out goes to a splitter for front and rear pipes. Follow that pipe. What are you taking it off for?

Which brake line goes to which which wheel from the master cylinder?

Not familiar with this model, but most cars have only one output and one return line to/from the master cylinder. The output line usually goes to a proportioner valve downstream from the master cylinder. This valve applies more pressure sooner to the rear wheels, then to the front. This prevents "fishtailing" when braking hard. If you follow the forward-most line away from the master cylinder, you'll probably encounter a block where this line feeds in and two or four lines feed out. That's the proportioner valve.

Power brakes aren't working. hissing noise when braake is stepped on.

Sounds like the vaccum hose is off to the brake booster. Check that its is right behind the brake fluid rev. were you put the fluid in for the brakes. If the line is fine it could also be the booster its self.

1997 ford escort brake line diagram

The LF and RR are in an independent circuit of the RF, LR wheels. The master cylinder already has the lines hooked up in a way that if you trace the lines, you can make your own diagram.

I need a break line diagram for 1995 ford countur

It doesn't connect to master cylinder. The line should connect to a proportioning valve, then from valve to master cylinder.Star at master cylinder and follow lines to proportioning valve.
