Random or multi misfire is frequently caused by incorrect air fuel mixture. Intake leaks, low fuel pressure, maf, can all give same code.

2006 Ford Escape hybrid has bad clicking noise and misfire code for cyl 4. P0304. There is a 2010 hybrid motor for sale near me. Would the 2010 be compatible in the 06?

You will get a code when your coil for that plug goes bad. About $30.00. Each plug has its own coil and you might want to replace them all fairly soon, but will be fine just replacinf the bad one for now. 5 minute job.

I have a misfiring problems with cylinders 1 and 6. Which ignition coil do i need to change?

Ignition coil one and six or course. The 3.7L uses separate ignition coils for each cylinder. The one-piece coil bolts directly to the cylinder head. Rubber boots seal the secondary terminal ends of the coils to the top of all 6 spark plugs. A separate electrical connector is used for each coil.
Because of coil design, spark plug cables (secondary cables) and a distributor are not used.
Two knock sensors (one for each cylinder bank) are used to help control spark knock.
The Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay provides battery voltage to each ignition coil.
The ignition system consists of:
Ā² 6 Spark Plugs
Ā² 6 Separate Ignition Coils
Ā² 2 Knock Sensors
Ā² Powertrain Control Module (PCM

I have a 2003 lancer that's putting out po300 misfire code how do find out were its coming from . no turbo

Possible causes
- Faulty spark plug (s)
- Faulty ignition coil (s)
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector (s)
- Intake air leak
- Fuel injectors harness is open or shorted
- Fuel Injectors circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coils harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coils circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinders compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
help.jpg What does this mean? Tech notes
The P0300 code means that a cylinder(s) is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are common caused of multi-cylinder misfiring. If no leak are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem, see "Possible Causes"

97 blazer is missing from take off at 1000rpm to 2000 then clears out code reader says o2 sencor and multable engine missfire

For the misfires, start by pulling your plugs. They either need to be cleaned or replaced if questionable. Then, you may have a bad coil or coil pack. You can test them with a multi-tester-you'll want resistance values that are specific for your vehicle. Alternatively, you can switch the coil packs around (if you know you have a good one from knowing which cylinders are misfiring and which are firing o.k.) If your misfires change cylinder numbers from swapping, you know you had a bad coil. Other possibilities for misfire could be the electronic ignition module or the pick-up coil inside the distributor(if you even have a distrib.)
FYI: code for o2 sensor means that circuit has a malfunction, may be the sensor itself, or a wiring problem. Good luck.

2005 5.3 1500 pickup multi cylinder misfar replaced intake gasket, coil, injector, and plug in cylinder 1&3 number 1 is missing the most also replaced oxygen sencer bank 1

Just so I learn something

Spark plugs -wear ,seldom misfire

Injectors and Coils-need to be component
tested,before I would replace

Testing-- is using a meter,oscilloscope,etc.

Same on O2 Sensor, scope is only way to
see switching time.

I would suggest something common to
multi cyl misfires.
Because you get a code for #1,doesn't mean
that coil is bad. You may have to walk a new
coil from one cyl to the next.

CPS Sensor ?
Is there a cam sensor on that engine?

Motor is skipping, lacks power,ck eng. light is

A flashing light means you're actively misfiring. Have the ECU scanned to find out which cylinder it is. Bad coil packs are common and there is a recall for them. Call a dealer with your VIN number and if yours qualifies, you'll get four new ones free. If not, buy a coil pack for each cylinder that is indicated as misfiring and replace them. They're $35 at AutoZone and about $160 at an Audi dealer.

What do these trouble codes mean po306 cyclinder misfire detected .how do i fix the problem?

it means you have a misfire on the number 6 cylinder

this could be caused by a whole lot of reasons.

start by inspecting for a bad plug wire if it has them

check for fire on the cylinder with a spark test tool from local part store

if it is a coil-on-plug set-up, check the coil for fire

replace coil/plug wire as needed, replace boot on coil if coil needed, replace spark plugs
