How to reset service A or B indicators on your Mercedes C class, useful when you change your own oil.
I seriously doubt it.
The oil reminder is just that, a reminder to the driver.
You really need to know what the trouble codes that are stored in the computer to proceed. Most auto parts stores will scan for free in hopes of selling you some parts.
Take the codes and look them up online.
The "service overdue" is a mileage based service reminder. It means you need to change the oil and perfirm whatever other service is recommended for your mileage. If you're up on all your service and the reminder is there it's very likely that whoever did the service didn't reset the reminder. causing the 10k reminder, take it to the dealer to get the instrument
cluster re-programmed.
SERVICE INTERVAL REMINDER If equipped with a service reminder flag, the oil and oil filter service interval reminder flags will activate after every 7500 miles of operation. To reset indicators, insert ignition key into slots below indicator flags at lower right corner of instrument cluster. Push key in until reminder window changes from Red to Green.
