The sparks plugs are located on the side of the engine, there will be spark plug wires covering them the number of spark plugs in your car depend on the size of the engine, like if you have a v8 there will be 8 of them if you have a v6 there will be six of them and so on. There are no spark plug wires on the 2000-up Northstar engines. They use coil on plug design. If you remove the screws that holds the coil pack to the top of the cam covers, you will see the tops of the spark plugs directly underneath. They are in the center of the cam covers.

SOURCE: replacing spark plugs

Changing spark plugs in your Cad is not an easy thing. I tried it using the chiltons manual and it took five hours. Just in case you want to try it yourself you will need to start by removing the engine cover (two screws easy to locate). Next step is the tricky and tedious part. A black cylider with small vacuum tubes located at the rear center next to firewall needs to be removed. It is attached to the engine by an somewhat difficult to reach bolt and a almost impossible lower bolt that can be acessed underneath if you can find it and have hand of a ten year old. I removed it from bottom of vehicle than tightened it after from the top this is by far the most difficult of the process watch your knuckles. This vacuum valve is connected to a silver hose which needs to be unscrewed to remove valve two screws attach it from the bottom. This is another difficult one. Make sure the your socket is firmly onto the wrench, one socket remains hidden after it fell off, making a extra trip to the store neccasary after losing it. Move valve out of the way as best you can and what remaing are 8 bolts holding on the "ignition coil assembly". These shoul be taken out in a "W" pattern: top bottom top bottom. Remove these and remove panel another very tight fit. Remove spark plug boots and take out spark plugs and keep in order so that spark plug damage can be assessed according to corrisponding cyclider. Repeat for front plugs and reverse steps to reassemble. Spark plugs come pregaped. Start with the rear plugs, they are the most difficult, and you have a better idea how much time it will take.

SOURCE: 2001 ford expedition spark plug location

That's because they are hidden quite well. If you look at the engine, you'll see yellow plastic prongs (?) that look like spark plugs, but hook up to the silver tubing.  That's the fuel injectors.  BUT, right behind the yellow plugs, are black ones.  The black one is the connector to the spark plug.  The plug itself sits about 4 inches down into the block of the engine.  They are a real pain, and from what I can tell, you only have decent access to the first 2-4 of them, then they get too far back and start going under the dash (you'll see what I mean when you get there).

SOURCE: where are the spark plugs located on a 2001 dodge ...

Hi!!

They are on top of the motor, 3 on each side, just follow the wires from the coils. To access, you need to remove the two torx screws fastening each of the spark plug wire boot, and pull it out, the boot is about six inches long. You'll also need a 5/8" spark plug socket with a long extension and ratchet.

Don't forget to rate this post. Good Luck!!

Location of ignition control module 2001 cadilac deville

Ignition Coils/Modules
The electronic ignition system uses an individual ignition coil for each cylinder. There are two separate ignition module assemblies located in the camshaft cover of each cylinder bank. Each ignition module assembly contains an ignition control module and four ignition coils. Each ignition coil connects directly to a spark plug using a boot. This arrangement eliminates the need for secondary ignition wires. The ignition module assemblies receive power from a fused ignition feed. Both ignition module assemblies connect to chassis ground. A Reference Low and four ignition control (IC) circuits connect each ignition module assembly to the PCM. The PCM uses the individual IC circuits to control coil sequencing and spark timing for each ignition coil. The IC circuits transmit timing pulses from the PCM to the ignition control module to trigger the ignition coil and fire the spark plug. The PCM controls ignition system sequencing and timing events

Where are the spark plugs? can't find them!

With your hood open, look for several large and long (probably black) wires. Follow these (ignition) wires to your engine block. Where each wire ends you will find a spark plug.

The following 2001 Cadillac DeVille owners manual should help.

Please rememeber to give this solution 4 Thumbs-Up. Thanks!
