Land rover used a vacuum set up check the vacuum line at the actuator, usually crack at the actuator, cut end off and put back on. also check to see if brake lights are on all the time when key is on if so then brake switch, also would add check the fuse first and the vaccum pump may need replaced if you dont find anything with vacuum lines, fuse, brake switch, replace the actuator before you replace the pump.

CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK ON 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER

check cruise control fuse and check the brake lights see if brake light working because the brake light switch will deactivate cruise control when brakes is applied.if brake lights dont work either fuse blowed or switch bad.if all is good have vechicle code scan because cruise control control by PCM and vechicle speed sensor and thottle actuator control motor.

I have a 97 discovery.i found lately the cruise control is not working and the rear electric windows not working either. I checked all the fuses all ok and i checked the the switches for the rear windows...

Me a sparky too - found this on another website and it worked - for rear windows - you need to find a switched hot and splice it into the white wire going into the electric window ECM located on the far right side under the glovebox (I removed the glovebox, 4 7mm bolt on bottom to make easier). the white wire is staring right at you when you pull the glovebox out on the right side - part of a wire connector with purple.black.grey wires going into it. 12 gauge.

2003 land rover discovery cruise control system

if it stopped working make sure your brake lights aren't on. If they are you have a bad brake switch (located under the brake pedal). It's easy to replace. If the lights are not on check the vacuum hose isn't split coming off the intake area. easy fix as well.

Landrover discovery Td300 1998

the rev counter on the 300tdi disco takes its speed signal from a wire connected to the back of the alternator (single spade type connector) this wire usually breaks rewire and should be ok

cruise faults are usually caused by a vacuum pipe splitting check all the vac pipes to the cruise control actuator in the engine bay and at the brake pedal switch of end are split cut off and refit pipe

How do i turn on the cruise control for a 96 land rover discovery??

Like many cruise control systems there are the working controls and sepearate master power switch that can disable cruise control so it can't be turned on accidentally. The working controls to set speed, acc and off are on the steering wheel. There is a master power switch though on the center area of the dash next to the left of heater controls on a US model. It is a picture of a road running straight under an overpass.

The system is vaccumm controlled though and if you have a vaccumm leak it will not work. They are pretty easy to fix though and easy to see. Open the hood and find the throttle body assembly. Look for the throttle cable and in that area there should be a black soft plastic hose about the thickness of a pen. If this is diconnected from any connectors or cracked the cruise control won't work. Good Luck!

Cruise control stopped working in my 2004 Hyundai Sonata

This works...the cruise is directly tied to the brake lights...when I replaced the brake and side light bulbs on my 2004 Santa Fe,,,the cruise started working with no other adjustments. It must complete a circuit or something.
