Infiniti FX35 2004 sport. Computer will not accept changes to settings on dash display

The steering wheel geears failed and cost is prohibitive to fix, so I'd like to shut off the auto seat/steering wheel adjust to OFF. Will not accept change. is this a BDU, ECU or other problem?

SOURCE: SETTING THE CLOCK

The analog clock has little buttons on the face to move the time forward or back. If your FX has NAVI hit the setting button then choose CLOCK. If it doesn't have NAVI hit the menu button and scroll down to the clock setting.

SOURCE: The auto seat adjustment has stopped working

There is a switch next to the interior dash dimmer dial (left of steering wheel) that has a pic of a seat with arrows and the word AUTO on it. This is a on-off switch for turning on auto seat movements.

You probably need the nissan/infiniti factory scan tool, if there is even an option to change it

i have this deck...just put it on craigslist...if you pop out the heater vents the screws become visible to remove the unit. The screws on the side of the deck itself tend to be in tightly...but they will come out. my name is justin 2539051585

SOURCE: I think I caused a short when I was changing the interior lights now they aren't working tilt on steering wheel my seat doesn't move and the tailgate door won't open anymore!what can i do to fix?

Make sure that all fuses are ok, most modern fuse boxes on cars have little diagrams / pictures of what they are for.

When you disconnect connectors under the dash, you are likely to cause issues with the anti theft system, when you disconnect the battery, you DEFINITELY do. Now you need to reset the security system. Is the anti theft light on solid?

My radio lights don't work I can hear it and turn it by the steering wheel but not the dash board

make sure it does not have local defeat mode (settings feature)
to keep passenger at bay, (kids) or force them to listen to CCR
most times steering fails for bad clockspring, or switches.

it seems as a OEM radio so get the cars uses guide for free googing that and read all setting to find if there is local defeat

I would like to fit a steering wheel with audio buttons to my prado which does not have buttons

New parts would be cost prohibitive. Find a wrecker who has a top of the range model and obtain the wheel, the wiring harness and all the adaptors. It wont be an easy job. The steering column and half the dash may have to come out to feed the wiring harness through. Get hold of a Prado manual before you start.

My 1997 Infiniti I 30 windshield washer pump is stuck on what could cause this problem

The switch that operates the pump is faulty. It's not something you can do on the weekend unless you have a well equipped tool box, since you have to take off the steering wheel, safety the air bag, and run the wires down the steering column to the wiring harness plug under the dash. Best left to the dealership.

What causes hard steering 2006 infinity g35

Could be many things, first thing i would check is steering pump. (When your sitting there stopped, turn your wheel and listin for a wining noise, if its really wine-y while your in the process or turning it, it could be low on power steering fluid, or your pump could be dying.) Other then that, you would need to get your steering wheel linkage checked, down to the connection to the wheels. (I dont know as much about the mechanical parts (ie. steering rod, tie rod, blah blah blah) since i only learn from past experience..

Steering Wheel Wobble

Have you tried cross checking with another wheel alignment specialist? To me it seems to be coming from the tyres or a dented rim. You could ask them if they do dynamic wheel balancing on the car itself. This will take in consideration the out of round of the hub as well.
