SOURCE: volvo s60 error code 23 what does it mean
It sound like a bad Yaw sensor,or ABS sensor, both are part of the Anti locking brake system.Have you brake system checked
SOURCE: what does a message alarm system service required
It means that the vehicle diagnostic system has detected a faulty alarm component and must be diagnosed and fixed.
At best it just means that your alarm is partially or wholly non-functional, at worst it could activate at random or even cause the immobiliser to play up.
Unless you have specialist skills and tools then it's not really a DIY fix unless the fault is a really obvious one, like a failed door switch.

I had the same problem on my 04 XC90 - apparently it is a common failure... You need to replace a Siren module.

Hi.
The loss of power can be caused by a big number of different fault. A code reading would be a good first step to troubleshoot the fault.
If the check engine light comes on, then engine faults have been detected and related codes have been stored in the vehicle's computer modules. Primary DTC (trouble codes) are stored in the main computer (called ECU). Such codes can be read using an OBDII code reader connected to the socket under the dash. Here a code reader: U480 Can Bus.
A code scanning can also be performed at the dealer place or at any garage. In US it can be done for free at the nearest Autozone.
If there is no indicative codes also test the fuel pump and pressure regulator by reading fuel pressure with a gauge connected to the port on the fuel rail. Here the tool: Wilmar W80594.
