I replaced,bulbs both sides and sockets both sides have 12volts both sides. cheched all grounds. and at REM module ,when i back probe the 3 wires at sochet test light works on all..when i back probe socket on the right side i have no voltage at middle wire. All other lights work fine. is there a way to check rem at RR qt. panel. also checked all possable loose or broken wires. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.paul bates
Switched system power relay #4 supply's B+ voltage to center wire -red with yellow trace. Fuse 103 40 amp supply's B+ voltage to the relay .

ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, VIBRATION AND HEAT MAY CAUSE THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP BULB TO LOOSEN IN ITS SOCKET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE BULB MAY FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE.
Consequences:
AN INOPERATIVE BRAKE LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION OF STOPPING TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES, AND AN INOPERATIVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION TO TURN TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES. BOTH OF THESE FAILURES CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:

Remove light, look closely at bulb, also test ground if light looks good, use 12 volt test light ,see if getting power at light socket remember light switch has to be on ,PS there maybe more then one fuse for lights but it sounds like a bad bulb or ground on that one light . hope this helps ,please feel free to ask again. thank you.
look at the tail light assembly, open rear door and you should see a couple of screws, remove them and pull light assembly out, the bulb sockets twist left to remove then replace your bulb, reinstall aand check.
You need to check for power and ground. If you dont have a volt meter you can get a good cheap one from radio shack. If there is no power recheck with a known good ground. All the lights on that side share a common ground. Check the sockets for signs of burning or corrosion. There is a plug in the left rear quater panell. If you have no power check the corrisponding wire at that connector. The wires splice togeter just before the connector. So if the other brake/tail light is working you know the problem is after that. Hope this helps. Im sure you'll find the problem.
Well, let's take this in seperate parts.
On the licenseplate lights, there is only one wiring lead that goes down there. Comes in on the right side, and jumps over to the left. But they are seperate from the tail lights.
The wiring harness for the tail lights comes down the left side of the truck, and then Y's off at the back to go to either side.
And you have replaced the bulbs or at least swaped the bulbs from side to side (just because a bulb is new, doesn't mean it's good) to test what is good, and what isn't.
Brake/running light bulbs will fit into the socket either way, but they only work if they are in the correct way. (you might want to try turning the bulb around in the socket).
From there, get a 12v circuit tester, and check the power to the sockets. You also want to test the ground to the socket.
This is a 8yr old truck, and there is a chance that 1) the socket is bad 2) there was damage to the wiring that goes to the tail light 3) both of the above.
Once you establish power and ground, then you start looking for unusual things.
Try the tips mentioned, and let me know what you find.
Pull the light bulbs and test the bulb sockets, use a 12 volt test light probe, kinda looks like an ice pick or awl, with the clip lead of the test light at a good ground, probe the contacts to the bulb with the lights on, if the test light glows then there is 12 volts to the socket, if not probe the wire to the socket for power, if it is ok then replace the bulb socket, the dealer can supply this part. 1st though make sure the bulb is good, swap out a working bulb to the non working side,
