Land Rover TD5 Discovery II. Why doesn't sound of fuel pump shut off once the vehicle has started and been running for a while?

Hi welcome main problems are the abs valves causing the 3 dash lights (search 3 amigos online) a really badly sited compressor can cause air suspension models to fail giving the bags a slow leak the V8 is a solid engine but can have radiator expansion tank and cap failures
the other issue is electrics windows and door looms are problematic

I think the access is under the carpet in the rear cargo area. You have to remove the trim to get the carpet up, or just cut the carpet to access the fuel pump cover like I did in my truck -- (I didn't care about keeping it perfect, so I cut a flap in the carpet to get to the fuel pump access cover)

2 possibilities - fuel filter is plugged (or starting to) OR pump is starting to go bad. (I have it's petrol sister and she's just as finicky)

ur cars fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank on the rear cargo

I think u may have a injection pump problem, have it checked for proper pressure.

check the choke and the timing

In the engine fuse box under the bonnet ,relay is the closest one to the front of the vehicle ,about £7 to replkace

need to change a new pump.

what you are discribing is a fuel restriction
could be a defective fuel filter. it wouldnt be the first one ive seen
