Is the check engine light on? If it is you will need a code reader to plug into the OBDII port under the dash near the steering column. But that may not keep the light off. Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. check in trunk if its not ther its mostly where most suvs have it under the trunk but i mena by the outside where the exhaust is if not there ur missing it

You will have to replace the mechanism and wire, a stock wheel works fine as a spare, they used to supply a stock wheel as standard before they invented the spacesaver spare.
