Your car computer is trying to tell you something. go to a mechanic and put their tester on the out fit under the dash. They will tell you the problem. might just need resetting.

Changed battery on my 2003 S-type v6, starts fine, runs fine but all the lights in the dash are on. How can I reset?

Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and connect it back up again and re-check.

Were these same warning lights displaying before the battery was replaced?

My jaguar (lpg gas) says limited performance

hi your issue is that your car which starts with petrol then switchies over to lpg for which youll already know ,but the problem lies within the cylindar heads as it can only be 1 of 3 things =1, your valve seals are worn excessively due to the lpg as that runs at a higher heat density which stretches the valves which in turn causes then to wear and that reduces the power ie lack off,as it puts the ecu into limp mode (safe to protect your engine) as its a common fault on ALL lpg conversions.as that is also the knock on effect with your master servo (brakes).as i fix approx 3/4 a month.
hope this help's to clarify what is wrong ok

I have a 2003 Jaguar S Type V6 and I wanna know how do you know if you need to replace the mass air flow sensor or whatever! I have changed the plugs and coils on it all ready cause it was starting rough...

Rather than take a stab in the dark replacing items - get the codes scanned and this should show what area the fault lies in. Normally if there is a fault with the MAF (mass air flow meter) it would normally show as a check engine light (MIL) - is this warning on? So many things can affect these engines from O2 sensors, coil misfires, bad cable connections etc etc. - so best move get the car scanned. Hope this helps (and saves money) good luck.

I have a jaguar 3 litre v6 x type 51 plate with an engine warning light on dash the car seems to b driving fine wot cud this be ? [email protected]

The engine light shows a fault has occurred. The recorded fault will be visible if you have the codes read. One of the most common faults is the MAF (mass air flow sensor) this sometimes shows a wrong reading and logs as a fault, The light may go back out after the engine has completed another self check - if there is no ongoing fault. Get the codes read to be sure. .............. hope this helps

S type jag 2003 abs warning light on dash board is

Check your brake fluid level first. If it is fine then you probably have a bad abs brake sensor.

2003 S-Type Jaguar

First step is to drive to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts carefully, without heavy acceleration. Tell them you have a check engine light and you need the computer scanned. They'll do it free (a dealer will charge an hour's labor even though it only takes a few minutes). Ask them to give you a printout of the codes, and post them here. Do that as a reply to my post and I can help you decipher the codes as to what they mean and what needs to be done. Was the car sitting in water deep enough to touch the bodywork, or were just the tires touching water?

2002/03 X type 3.0 L V6 back up warning system

It is probably your reverse aid module, I have gone through 2 of them. It happens to the x type also. I would love to start a campaign with Jaguar to have them do a recall. It is a dirty secret that is very expensive.
