Occasionally drive it on short journeys and start up to keep it ticking over. Is fault due to that fact that it has not been driven properly for a while as car is A1 and no other problems. very unusual. Hope you can help.

Its not worth 3,000 if it won't start, not a 3 series. MAYBE give him 1500- no start problems are very hard to diagnose in these cars.

The trick with these sellers are that they would say the warranty does not cover wear and tear and they will say this is not under cover,this is a typical trick they use in the UK to catch poor victims.Look for a cheaper labour as this is just a joke to have it repaired at a garage for this cost.Hydrualics is to do with power steering etc and this is an important part for this vehicle to function properly.Get in touch and if you are local I can help you.

Had same on 120i (2005 reg). Without prompting dealer contacted BMW who agreed to pay for part and half the labour as it seems to be a common problem for 04-06 models.
