recently had this problem, take two credit cards or id, and use them as tweezers to pull out cd(s). It works better, faster, and does little to none scratches on your cd(s).

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.
SOURCE: CD player Error 3
dear,
I have different experiance with the C.Dplayer ( error 3 ) , there is no need to remove it nor send it to the dealer ,all you have to do when you have `` Error 3 `` is to reset the C.D player , by recycling the power supply ,this can be done by disconnecting the main car battery power supply , you must also keep the battery disconnected for at least one hour . then connect the cables to the batteries ,when you start the C.D player you will hear some clicking sound ,and watch the numbers of the C.D`s in the display you will find all what is inside has been detected by the display .
and your C.D player is back to normal..
i discovered ths by chance , when I had this error in the past ,coincidently I had to replace the battery and after installing the new batteries ,i was suprised to see the player back to normal condition by its self.

You can use another old CD and some very sticky tape (like duct tape).Take a peice of tape about 2 inches long.Fold it so it's half the lenth and sticky on both sides.Adhere it to the end of the old CD so its flat and will adhere to the other stuck CD.Slide the old CD w/the tape on it(aimed down) in the CD slot and while pressing the eject button and adhere it to the stuck CD and pull.It should stick to the other CD and dislodge it
