Have you checked the battery voltage. It sound like your battery is almost completely dead. I would check that first.

Your car is equipped with the VATS security system. Cars with this system need a key with a "chip" in it to start the car. A regular key won't start the car because of the security system. A key from the dealership is needed to start any GM car with the VATS system.

You change the headlamp bulbs or the headlamp Assembly ? And now it won't turn over ? Turn over how ? What happens when you turn the key to the start position on ignition switch ? Does the starter engage an spin the motor but doesn't start and run ? Or nothing happens when you turn the key to start ? Your cadillac is very complex , control modules out the but. (computers ) Has a communication network for all the modules to talk to each other . How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN You could have pinched a wire for C.A.N. data bus network causing a problem . One of the first thing's to do would be hook up computer and see if the modules are talking on the bus .
