I need to know where the line comes out behind the fuel tank. The first answer was obvious. I can cut the line at the front but even using an endoscooe i can not find the other end of the line. Any suggestions?

The fuel line is rusted and split.

The other end of the line is up beside the fuel tank near the top. If you have to replace the line, you have to drop the fuel tank and disconnect the line there and at the transmission.

Depends on what's leaking. The fuel line runs down that side of the truck to a fuel filter near the front. If the filter or a filter connector has failed or is loose, try replacing the filter. If the problem is a leaking line, you will have to find the exact location of the leak and try either installing a repair kit (cut the line and insert coupler), or if badly damaged, replace the line.

Smells gas into passenger cabin

Check the evap system /canister behind the drivers rear tire, the brackets rust out and pull lines off.also check front purge valve on top of the gas tank, reach up on top of tank by end of back door and see if its wet.Im assuming you checked for leaky steel lines.also check the fuel pressure regulator on the engine. My 2 95 blazers have had these problems over the years

K1998 gmc jimmy 4 wheel drive truck cranks but wontstart.is getting fire, when it did run it smelled like gas strong

GMC Jimmy's have a record of corroded fuel lines at the fuel pump in the fuel tank. Cycle your key from "Off" to "Run" a couple times then look under the vehicle in the fuel tank area to see if there is gas dripping.

Where is the engine oil drain plug on a 1998 gmc jimmy ?

i have a 96 and an 01, go under the truck from behind the drivers side front tire, the drain plug is at the back of the oil pan just behind front skid plate, the oli filter is right behind the front bumper , there is a trap door to get to the filter, but that's only for 4x4 or awd modle's, 2wd filter's are on the drivers side of the enging infront of the starter

1999 gmc jimmy w 4.3 v6. cannot find oil filter

look under the front of your blazer, just below the bumper, and you will see a little access door in the plastic guard. Open this door, and you will find your oil filter.

My sons 1998 GMC Jimmy was leaking gas all over the garage floor. Just had the fuel pump replaced.

Either the fuel tank was punctured or a fuel line is not properly connected. They are quick connect fittings, an O-ring may have been damaged.
