There is a diagnostic port that some of the better scanners can use to read the air suspension. It is the cheapest way because you only replace the bad component. The air suspension is designed to let the air out when you either open a door and/or open the trunk. It is attempting to lower the car to make the loading of the trunk and passengers easier. The height levelers are then suppose to recover the ride height and straighten the body to ride level..

SOURCE: how to get into trunk w/o keys and trunk opener. Keys are locked in trunk and button inside car is locked.

Using your keyless entry on the keypad, press the 5 digit code to get into the door and press the 6 key immediately after. Lincoln has several codes in addition to the 5 digit keyless entry like pressing the 3 to open all the doors, the 6 for the trunk and pressing the last 2 buttons at the same time to lock the doors.

I will not tell how to turns bolt or fittings
  1. connect recovery system and pump out old R134 and save it.
  2. remove compressor.
  3. make sure old one did that dump debris into the loop seen when any compressor does its train wreck inside. If did all must be cleaned, see huge chapter here. (I pass)
  4. new receiver dryer.
  5. new compressor.
  6. vacuum pump it to max (45min) and do the leak down test
  7. if fails that we must find the leak in the loop. (hard work)
  8. Ok leak fixed. add PAG oil to compressor it not already pre-primed
  9. add R134 per weight. per spec of car, Loop size in car dictates it.
  10. test the system.

Where is ride control on 1994 lincoln continental located

It is located throughout the car. One main part that fails is the Master dump valve which releases all the air in the system to lower the car. If this solenoid sticks, the air will continue escaping from the sealed system or the pump may run and not stop if it runs at all.

Where is the fuel door release latch on a 1994 Lincoln Continental? Just bo't the car, but I'll have to put gas in it eventually...maybe sooner....

Its been a long time since I have been in one of those, but seems to me it was on the floor by the seat.. if not there is always an emergency fuel door release in the trunk, on the same side as the fuel door, but it might be hidden behind the carpet on the side of the trunk... I also remmber a yellow button in the glove box but that might be trunk release!

I need know what struts i can put in my 93 lincoln continental in place of the air ride

Hello; In regards to the Post, you can do a Strut Converstion and Retrofit, by using the Taurus/Sable struts. This convertion will work, but only for a limited time. The Coil Springs for the REAR, on a Taurus/Sable are much to "soft" for the large Lincoln Continental, it requires stiffer springs, or DO NOT CARRY much of a load in the rear trunk. I used a used pair of Rear struts from a 1994(r) and 1990(f) struts from a Taurus/Sable for the conversion. In all I spent, about $100. I did this conversion, to my 1992 Con in 2004, it lasted without any problems until June 2009, when one of my Rear struts collapsed, due to to much weight in my trunk. You can not carry much of a load, using the Retrofit struts, I gather. The bottom coil Seat of one of my struts has bent downwards, and is not rubbing against the inner well/bead of the tire. Not a nice thing, and very unsafe, and the car will eventually bottom-out due to the week spring arrangement. The car needs springs that are about 50% stronger. FYI. Other then that, it works OK.
The front struts retrofit, are better suited for this conversion, since both vehicles, use the same engine/tran arrangement, and the weight of the vehicle is not inquestion. Only the Rear, but I have not found, a low cost solution to this problem. The only other Alternative, is to buy the Monroe #90001 or Arnott conversion kit, their is also is Strutmasters.com

My 2002 Lincoln Continental Check air bag light is flashing on dash. When someone heavy sits in the passenger seat is goes off. May be a coincidence. Is there a warranty?

Sounds like you need your occupant classification system checked. It may be sensing weight in the seat when there isn't any. Sorry, but your warranty ran out a long time ago.
